    Can't we play someone else? Villa or somebody as was mentioned?

    Don't want those tartan army fannies anywhere near us and the last thing we should be doing is teaming up with the SFA after the way we've been screwed by them and their corrupt officials this season.

    The big man totally deserves his day but there's a whole world of football clubs out there let's go find someone better than the SFA

    Does anyone know if this game will be at Celtic Park , and is it purely down to Celtic's doing or is the SFA involved in the organisation of the game..
    I could understand playing against Scotland if it was played at Hampden where the SFA pick up all the costs of running the show , and all the money from gates go to John.. It would be a decent gesture..

    It be a reserve side though man, no way would the likes of Messi, Puyol Henry etc play a needless match ahead of the World Cup.


    Might sound cynical, but I don't like the idea of the likes of Kenny Misser & Boyd playing in this one.........they'll probably all pull up with an 'injury' anyway. A classic Scotland XI would be better IMO.

    This being the day after the Scottish Cup final is a bad idea aswell, should be a week after........heaven forbid we get to the final and lose (And the Huns possibly securing the treble).......a lot of people won't be up for this the next day, nor will the players.

    Whats wrong with Scotland?

    It's amazing the amount of fans, even Scottish fans, that actually have a passionate hate for the National team.

    I would be glad to be playing teh NT but as said before it would be better if it were a classic Scotland team.

    To the 2nd post - i think it's so John can play 45 minutes for each side - his career ended playing his first cap for Scotland afterall, it would be nice for him to get another wee shot at playing for his country again.

    I think this is a brilliant jesture for the big man.
