As we have a connection with St Pauli,do you think we should be trying to strengthen the link by playing them more often or even having an affiliated deal with them for players?

I'd take that big Sobiech guy from them, CB and their best player. Other than him there's nobody else imo.
Outside of players i would like to see us play them sometime, always liked the club.

Definitely. I see St Pauli yesterday announced a link with Stoke City. I couldn't believe that myself really when I read it....

We should announce a partnership with Dortmund and get Emre Mor for two years on loan.

Could be a good way to loan some players out for a bit of experience, some of the development squad.

Just outta curiosity - has anyone been over to Germany for one of their games? Are there any games in particular that would be worth going to watch next season?

I've been a couple of times but not for a while. They used to have a Celtic/St Pauli weekend every season ( think they still have it) where loads of Celtic fans would go over and there would be a gig on the Saturday night and the game would be on the Sunday.

I've seen them play Gruether Furth a couple of times.

Sounds good. I'd be going wae a non-Celtic fan (diddy club fan). Is that mob their rivals in that division?

Naw was just a fluke I think that they kept playing them when we were there. They were a good bunch though from Bavaria and plenty of them came for the weekend and mixed well with the St Pauli fans. They play in Green and have a Shamrock on their shirts so got on well with the Tims as well.

Been over 3 times, Gunther x2 they were the Celtic parties and fortuna Düsseldorf. Always great craic.
One of the mates is close to a few of the main men, think he's been over 6 times now. They have come over to visit us in belafst a few times.
We used to help them run the antifa football tournament during the west Belfast festival because the feile didn't want to know.
Didn't go back due to the natives not being to happy with some of the Celtic fans being *.
When it started to get popular instead of a guys who share similar views, a lot of guys were just going over getting hammered and making * out of themselves. Don't * in someone's back yard. They are very peticular about where you pee in the st Pauli district lol.
It is really for the more left anti fa type of supporter, lots of English club supporters go up for the left leaning politics. Although anyone would enjoy it as its not forced on you.
They like to talk politics, culture and history while having a beer in the supporters club or the Jolly Roger, go to the game have a few beers at the game, then go out that night to one of the concerts (lots of punk music lol) and drink some more. Remember their drinking culture is different from ours, you will very rarely see them steaming.
I will be back for an away trip to hansa Rostock, that's the big one. But as well in, as we are, getting tickets is hard, and they don't really like non st Pauli fans going as they cannot guarantee your safety.
YouTube Rostock v st Pauli. Some scary *
