If theres any truth in it he would be a good signing, can see him and Zurawski playing well together.

Diego Tristan was a good players. Its been 3 years since his last international cap. People here are basing their assessment of the player on his reputation 4 years ago. 4 years ago he was one of the deadliest strikers in Europe. Thats day has passed. Maybe he'll come back to life with a move from La Coruna, I stress maybe.

If we sign him I hope he will do brilliantly but my enthusiasm for this signing is on ice

What makes you think people are basing their assesment of the player on his reputation from 4 years ago??.... I watch Spanish football as i am sure plenty others do..so i for 1 was basing my opinion from what i saw last year..... he scored 12 goals in 27 apps :50:

JFH scored how many in how many matches in the EPL? Why does he get slated and Tristan cheered?

If Tristan was a whinger in Spain, would the media here report it? How do we know that he is not Spanish League version of JFH??

I´m not saing that Tristan is any differant - I don´t catch much Spanish football anymore so wouldn´t know. All I know is that I was glad we didn´t sign Hasselbaink. Also, Tristan is alot younger than JFH which is a plus IMO.

Really starting to believe that people are judging Tristan on the past rather than now. I´m not prepared to comment on whether he´d be a good signign or not, but most of what I´ve heard about him so far is bad.
