Just reading the Toronto FC forum and the boys are saying that Celtic are going to play a friendly in Toronto September (7 I think).

Anyone else heard news on this? A lot of the guys seem to think it's a done deal and will be announced soon.

Seems strange given that the season will have started.

    Apparently against Benfica or Boca.

If true, I'll be there 100%

This was the ticketmaster link, but they have pulled the event

This is 100% on. Just announced it on the radio here.

Sept. 2 against Benfica @ BMO Field Toronto.

What do you guys think of a friendly on the other side of the Atlantic during the season? (note - there is a break between the Aug 30 hibs match and Sept 12 DU match).

We'll have won the league by then anyway so it'll be a nice wee holiday for the Bhoys.

...either that or a Celtic XI

Good Question! I was one of the Toronto FC supporters that refused to attend a friendly last week with Real Madrid because I didn't want to support our FO in their decision to have a money grabbing a mid season friendly that could potentialy affect out second half/outcome of the league. Yet I will without question buy a ticket and attend this Celtic mid-season friendly without feeling guilty. hhhmmmmmmm.......

If this is the case, I'll be making the long trek to Toronto.
