Not one to get carried away so don't see this as blind optimism. Made quite a bit in football betting over the last year and just enquired into what the treble would be. Saw someone on this forum posting a quote they had been given of 25/1 for us to go unbeaten in SPL.......madness. But most firms go 4/6 we win the league - depends on how we gel - I think its a good price given whats happening at Ibrox and the hidings they will be handed out every week in the Champions League (especially with squad size) chasing the ball for 90 minutes. Was quoted 12/1 Skybet for treble and duly put £400 on. Its a punt of course but I can't see Lenny taking any game lightly and due to the competition for places I expect to see (I would say a la Arsenal in Carling but no doubt get ripped by numerous vulchers - so I won't). But there will be competition for places and league cup will probably let fringe players put a case forward. Any Old Firm will see a full team being played so I'm pretty confident that we should be favorites for all competitions. Again its not blind optimism!! Every firm in UK has us favorites for the league - so using the same logic - and the fact that we have a FAR bigger squad than realistic, potential rivals - 12/1 for treble is big price. I would suggest the punters amongst you take a bit and let me know if you find higher quotes.

    Hail hail.

Mate i'd not even put someone ele's money on celtic winning anything this season. People keep mentioning how bad a state Rangers are in, but in all honesty if they sign there targets im really finding it very hard to keep the faith.
Massive worry that a big hero like Lenny could turn out a massive failure..Only the mexican and possibly Hoopper have looked like anything decent. I know its early days, but i just don't see any promising signs..

We need a CB, LB and a GK or we might not win anything. Rangers with Jelavic (almost done i believe) now are argubaly just as strong if not stronger than last season so it won't be easy. But our midfield is far superior, so we just need a solid defence to rely on.

I'm not usually one to get carried out at the start of the season and I would not be putting on the treble even at 120-1 but I think the signs are there that we can put a decent team out this season. My only caveat to that is that we must strengthen the defence. If we can put that last piece in place I would expect Celtic to win most domestic matches because there will be a lot more effort under Lennon which will compliment their skill. Only time will tell and I know a lot of you will be thinking about last January when we thought we had turned the corner but I am honestly excited about the new season.

It's a bit premature to be thinking about the treble is it not?

Let's just enjoy the season ahead without putting ridiculous amounts of pressure on our team and coaching staff.

I'm hardly putting pressure on the players and coaching staff by placing a bet on Sky bet.

I seem to have been somwhat misunderstood.

If we are 4/6 to win the title the odds of 12/1 for the treble are inflated.

I will try and set a Celtic treble up on Betfair.

At which point I can take your odds of 120/1 (or 13/1 etc. if you think its ridiculous - at which point you can 'fill your boots' with my money.

I will also get my extensive hat collection at the ready.

Again I am not saying its likely or it would be ODDS ON!!!

I'm just saying that I THINK 12/1 is a nice price.

If we sign LB CB and Keeper, which I think we will. Get off to a good start....Which I think we will...the price will drop.

I still feel rangers are a stronger side than us and it looks like they will get Jelavic now.

When was the last time we won the trebble mate? What was the spine of our team like?

Anyway, hope you win a fortune, just can't see it.
