Very good points made in that football supporters seem to be the main target of the new legislation. It's something that needed to be said as it does seem like there is very little effort put into enforcing the laws outwith football from what we can see in the press.

Excellent work by the board. There has to be a common-sense approach to this and specific guidelines about what may be deemed a genuine political point under freedom of speech and what is inherently sectarian.

there,s fine margins in all of this, you get the usuall , history ,political stuff ...its very hard to define i would say..i would like this sort of stuff sorted once and for all ...and to see the plans on how there gonna inforce this ...however i feel it wont come down to politicians in scotland ..if they,d really wanted to rid this country of this sort of problem they,d of found away years ago ..however there,s still money to be made by it.....it will be sorted by ueafa who have made a start on it all ...look at scumpox..an empty stadium on matchday probably gave some of our knuckle dragging pals food for thought ...i think it will be giving some of our own fans that as well......

That’s a great read - all the government seem to be doing is leaving the door open for legal arguments to allow people with an average lawyer to argue their way out of any offences. It’s a piece of legislation that has been hastily put together to drum up some publicity to justify the amount of money they have piled into JAG. Good effort on the boards part though, our fans should not be victimised.

After the first few times the leglislation has been used do you guys think it will just fade away and never be used/discussed again?

    good stuff

its getting ridiculous now, i heard the polis were filming folk returning home from sion getting off the plane at the airport :nonono:

we wonder why no one goes to football now but the police treating all football fans as potential criminals doesnt help

quit standing there filming folk minding their own business getting off a plane and stop being such * and start arresting people who shout sectarian remarks; have they been seen at ibrox (or indeed tynecastle) at all this season?

these new laws were always about widening the scope of what is 'offensive' rather than dealing with the problem with more than useful current law

it's amazing how amateurish and childish they are compared to us; we might moan about certain things about the board (i.e investment) but we are run on a far more professional basis than that manky shower of *; i dont think our submission mentions them once whereas theirs is full of classic "whataboutery"

that'll be whyte and gordon smith pandering to the hunnish hordes and of course theyll eat it all up; stupid, skint huns :bbpd::icon_mrgreen::56:

Spot on, pandering to bigots on follow follow is all that is. In fact bits of that submission actually read like something posted over on there.

"whataboutery" meaning what about them ? i.e. them trying to deflect attention by saying what about them i.e. us

if so, how the * is that an excuse anyway ?

it is laughable that they are gonna try and rid Scotland of sectarianism but allow the Orange walk to continue to march up and down our streets, unbelievable
