One thing we kinda look over this season - even under Ange last year at our best, we all said we need CCV and Hatate to be on the pitch, or at least one, or the quality was starkly different.

O’Riley’s performances this year has balanced off the Hatate injuries on balance, last year it being Hatate mostly keeping O’Riley out the team. And Scales has major stepped up without CCV, but the chopping and changing at the back is becoming more and more apparent that we need him and a settled partnership back there for the run in.

Praying he’s back soon and when he’s back he stays fit as I believe it’ll be the difference to winning the league or not. He’s that important for us

I’d rather he healed properly than rush back, if he’s out another couple games as a result then so be it.

He is that crucial to us we can’t be risking anything longer term.

It’s desperately missed. He’s such a level above, and irreplaceable. I hope that fact doesn’t get us rushing him back, because I feel we’ve done that a couple times this year already

CAMERON CARTER-VICKERS could give Celtic a huge boost by returning to action this weekend.

The Hoops’ best centre-back, 26, has been out with a hamstring injury since January 27

But Carter-Vickers was given the green light to restart training this week after having three weeks of intensive treatment.

The USA international is now in contention to be part of Brendan Rodgers’ struggling side against Motherwell at Fir Park on Sunday.

The boss may be wary of throwing him straight back into his starting line-up.

CCV has had various injury issues and Rodgers has made it clear he wants to be careful with his star stopper.

But it’s understood Carter-Vickers has had no issues after rejoining his team-mates at their Lennoxtown training base in the last three days.

And he could be in line to make a dramatic return to action to shore up a Hoops defence that’s conceded three goals in the last four games in his absence.

Rodgers is likely to wait until nearer the weekend before deciding whether to pitch him straight back into his under-fire line-up.

Stephen Welsh has come into the team to play alongside Liam Scales while Carter-Vickers has been crocked

No, don't rush him back, we can't afford to be doing that

Where do we get this we rushed him back? Surely he’s had a say on his fitness? Forrest used to be constantly injured as was O’Donnell. Hatate the same.

We clearly did. At least one of the times we rushed him back and he didn't come out for the second half at Pittodrie. Actually has there no been more than one occasion where he's had to go off at half time?

    Been a disaster..

Agree CCV and Hatate have been a disaster this season and the custodians of our club are to blame for so much but not sure I’m 100% sure bout blaming them for that. Ah * it likely is their fault :giggle1:. Absolutely sickened with Celtic just now.

Would be a huge boost to have CCV fit and back in the line up come Sunday. Maybe he starts and plays an hour or so like Taylor did on his return last weekend.

Not sure if he’s been rushed back or not, remember he’s got to come back from an injury at some point.

If he’s back Sunday, he’ll play 60 mins exactly then off and we will come under all sorts of pressure. So predictable. Just keep him on for 90 and maybe give him a rest v Dundee at home.
