    Finished Mystic River.

Absolutely loved it, probably the most I’ve enjoyed a book.

Going to read the first book Lehane had published next, “A Drink Before The War.”

I think you will like it judging from what you have talked about on here. I read it a few years ago and enjoyed it. Very solid debut book.

Just approaching the last bit of The Road by Cormac McCarthy. Can see where this is going and not sure I'm ready for it

not a spoiler alert but I found this book harrowing, after reading it I had NO inclination to watch the film

Finished Eric Jay Dolin's Black Flag Blue Waters which is about the golden age of piracy in the early 18th century. Focused for the most part around the then American colonies it wasn't great although it did have some interesting parts.

Ive just started Slaughterhouse 5. Bizarre but really enjoying it so far.

I've spent most of my years reading non fiction so really enjoyed reading a lot of classics that have until now passed me by.

Finished Gene Kerrigan's The Midnight Choir. More well know as a journalist in Ireland I have been massively impressed with his crime novels this being the second I have read. Loved every minute of this gritty noir tale.

Yeah they’ve got the ten rules they follow.

My favourite bit is where they’re weighing up whether they should rob a bar or not, then someone else starts holding it up with a shotgun and they sit there critiquing him.

“He’s nervous,” “he talks too much” etc:56:

Finished Eric Jay Dolin's Rebels At Sea. It is an account of the use of privateers during the American revolution. While it had some interesting bits overall it wasn't a good read.

Actually started this the other night! On chapter 6, it’s hooked me in straight away.
