It was his fault, he has more than good enough players at his disposal to beat Sion, the vast majority of our team are internationals. He got it totally wrong.

It is obviously his job not the boards to influence how the team is playing. This is the same in every football team. If this is all he said then this rag would be giving us just as much information if it told us a bear * in the woods.

It's hard to tell how wrong he got it tactically against Sion as the game plan was thrown out the window after 45 seconds. The first leg, where you could argue the damage was done, was definitely his fault. Tactics and team selection all wrong. St Johnstone is a tricky one too because if Commons scores that penalty we'd probably have went on to win by 2 or 3.

Neil Lennon may be to blame for recent results but within the bigger picture the board are to blame. The current Huns side of the past few years is widely regarded as one of the worst Huns sides of all time yet they're aiming for a fourth straight title. That lies with the board. Not the players, not Neil Lennon, Tony Mowbray or Gordon Strachan.

I agree with this. Lennon may have got it wrong over the two legs (I believe he did), but the general deterioration of our team over the past few years lies firmly with the board. Simply put, the want to sell Celtic as a global brand, yet put very little money behind that idea on the pitch. Also, the board hired Lennon as a rookie boss as he was cheap as chips. Of course he is going to make mistakes.

The board do not have the funds of the MON era. This spoiled the support and veered the myth they are now penny pinching.

    The books dont lie

Agree with a lot of your post but dont think that the damage mowbray did to the squad should be underestimated.

Gordon Strachan was against the poorest Rangers side under PLG

I personally don't like the fact how we lost/dropped points against these sides.

There is no hunger, no passion among that team.

It was not the boards fault we lost to Inverness and gifted the title to Rangers

You could argue that better quality players wouldnt have lost that game and would have had the title wrapped up anyway.

Perhaps but they should be able to beat Inverness..they had already shown the ability throughout the season to beat every other team including Rangers...but failed when it was there for us

Agree Lennon has to take the fair share of the blame because at the end of the day he selected the bombscare Maj who shouldnt have even been on the pitch to get sent of, starting our striker who cant score and having our inform striker on the bench

It was not the inverness game that cost us the League it was not taking advantage at ibrox when we had a gift a * gift and and the team being too lax and not being focused on the bigger picture the inverness result was always a possibility but winning that game would have given us some insurance.

Nah...ultimately we had it in our hands and Inverness was crucial. Blew it against far poorer players.

The blame should be split 50/50. I refuse to believe that this debacle was entirely Lennon's fault. His game plan was ruined in under 1 minute on Thursday night, thanks to that idiot Majstorovic. We then had to play the remaining 90+ minutes with ten men, away from home in Europe, where we tend to struggle anyway, with eleven players on the pitch. And then you need to take into consideration that Kayal, Hooper and Wilson were all rushed back into the team, even though there was no way in * they could all have been fully fit.

The board are not giving him sufficient funds to build a good team capable of competing in Europe. Dermot Desmond is a billionaire, yet he refuses to give another £2m here and there in order to make us a dominant force in Europe once again. It's amazing to think that we were beating the likes of AC Milan and Man United under Strachan and now we've got to the stage where we're gambling on Sion fielding ineligible players in order to get into the group stages of the Europa League. Disgraceful.

It is his fault, to blame the board for the last 3 games is clutching at straws.

His personnel choice was wrong, his tactics were wrong and the reason we look flat is down to him.

Look at the performance against the huns at Parkhead last season when we were brimming with confidence and playing top drawer football. That was 'brilliant' not the dross served up in the last 3 games.
