I'm looking to buy a new laptop in the next couple of weeks and was wondering if anyone had any good suggestions?

I won't use it for any high powered gaming, just for Football Manager, Browsing, Streaming, Uni work etc.

Basically I'm looking for a laptop thats as powerful/fast as possible for my budget, any help would be appreciated

I'd happily take a refurb btw

Cheers bud. I was looking at an Asus with an i5 and 8gb of ram earlier that seemed pretty good but I'm seeing if there are any better options out there for the price

Asus are fine. They make very good quality PC components and brilliant monitors.

Just bought one from Ebay there, Asus something or other, i7 processor, 8gb Ram, Windows 8. £350.

Only thing is it's been a display model so although it works like new, technically it goes down as refurbished, which works in my favour. Only flaw: Despite is having english version of windows, it has a Norwegian Keyboard, but they're very similar to UK ones so it's all good.

Was the best specs I could find at that price by far, pretty pleased.

Sounds like a bargain. You can always remove the keyboard and swap it for a UK English one.
    Easy enough to do .

    Is it decent enough mate?

Only problem is I need to get a new one today or tomorrow as I need it for Wednesday.

What do you need them for? You won't be playing Witcher 3 on either of them :icon_mrgreen:

I would go for the Lenovo. Do you need 8gb RAM?

The Toshiba model is a couple of years old I would expect it to be cheaper

Just general browsing the Internet and steaming games etc. So probably don't need 8GB RAM. I use a laptop for work to blog and I've just cracked the screen of my old one. For what it'll cost for a new screen I may aswell buy a new laptop because the old one is on its last legs anyway.

I'm not a fan of windows 8 though. Can you still upgrade to 10 for free?

Yeah my laptop's good. Go for the old 8gb like me. I use mine for the same stuff as you.
