    Who's the best corner kick taker you have seen play for Celtic?

    In the Martin O'Neill era we had Lubo taking them whenever he was on the field and then I think Alan Thompson took over after Lubo left us.

    During Strachan's time in charge I think Nakamura took the corners most of the time with Barry Robson also taking a few towards the end.

    Under Neil Lennon it's been a mixture of Kris Commons and Charlie Mulgrew, cannae mind who was taking the corners when he first took charge.


    For me the best corner taker in recent years was Barry Robson. His corners were beauties. He fired with them in with a lot of pace and right on top of the goalkeeper, all one of our players had to do was get a touch on it and it would more than likely end up in the net.

    Lubo could take a quality corner too.

    The most over-rated corner taker was Nakamura. Folk used to go on about how good his corners were but not for me. Nine times out of ten he couldn't get the ball past the man at the front post. Pish.

    ok firstly i think charlie mulgrew deserves a mention here as he is an exceptional corner taker.

    As for Celtics best corner taker , it has to be Lubo . Could land it on a penny for larsson , sutton , valgaren or bog johan .

    as good as lubo was it helps to have larsson ,sutton, hartson ,bobo, valgaren ,varga ,vega mjallby ect to aim for ,giants of men who would bully anyone near them.

    Our problem now is we don't have a set corner taker. It seems who ever is closest to the ball takes it.

    Maloney, Hartley and Scott Brown used to take corners as well for Strachan. I mind we scored from about 3/4 Scott Brown corners in his first season then he stopped taking them.

    Petrov used to take them for O'Neill too. And for Lennon at the start Ki, Forrest, McCourt and Maloney.

    If I was rating them in my time id say...

    1. Lubo
    2. Thompson
    3. Robson
    4. Mulgrew
    5. Hartley
    6. Nakamura

    I wasnt a big fan of Robson or Hartley but they both took good corners. Forgot about Mulgrew there.

    Thompson was a brilliant crosser in-game, but from set pieces he had a bad habit of slowly floating/lofting it into the box rather than putting any conviction into it.

    I can remember Stan being quite handy at taking them, I don't often pay much attention though tbh. In saying that Robson and Hartley's delivery was excellent majority of the time.

    I think currently Commons' corners are pretty poor, he floats them in quite often from what I can remember and I prefer them to be whipped in at pace, makes it alot harder for keepers to set themselves to come and collect.

    Mulgrew is capable but all too often is a bit of a let down.

    Liam Henderson took a few at the back end of last season and looks as though he can whip the ball in.

    Mulgrews delivery from set pieces in our Champions league stint a couple of years ago were top class
