    Good win today going into this game. Hopefully gives us the momentum to go and get the result we need over in Lisbon. :50:

    Who's all out for this game? Can't see Hooper making it, unfortunately.

    I'd take your hand and all if you offered me a draw, as I said before. Mon the Celtic. :shamrock:

    Hooper and Miku in for Lassad and Watt if they're fit. Kayal hasn't really impressed me this season and Commons hasn't been great in the last few games.

    2-1 to Celtic.

    Going to be a hard game. Benfica will be going at it from the first minute as they really need the win. Would take the draw (a score one especially!) right now!

    If that happens and Barca win we're through!

    its important not play for a draw and not to get to complacent.
    think Lassad and McGeough will do well against them because theirs alot of time on the ball.
    Celtic need to remeber that fans pay a * ton that mabie some cant afford and at times are repayed with * e.g. St. Johnson game, Dundee UTD away and the first half of Aberdeen today.
    Hail Hail!
    Doing the huddle in the last 16!

    You must be joking :smiley-laughing002: No Samaras too? He's been vital for us away from home in Europe this season.

    Is Brown defo fit for this? Id have him in for Matthews in my team if he is.

    There's no chance we'll play 4-4-2 away from home in Europe

    I'll take a draw out of this one, happily. Even if it's 0-0, it suits us down to the ground. I can definitely see both teams scoring though.

    Forster

    Lustig Ambrose Wilson Matthews

    Kayal Wanyama Mulgrew Samaras

    Lassad

    Watt

    Not sure if either Hooper or Ledley will be fit for this, which explains why I've left both of them out of the starting XI.

    Score prediction: 2-1 to Celtic :50::shamrock:

    Think it's too big a game for Watt to start up front on his own - there'd be a * of a lot of pressure on him. Hooper and Miku are injury doubts, so the only other options are Lassad and Sammy, or two up front. Sammy's wasted up front on his own - much more effective on the wing.

    I doubt Watt will start tbh. If Hooper makes it as Lenny has suggested he might he'll play.

    Think it'll be something like

    :Forster:
    :Lustig::Ambrose::Wilson::Matthews:

    :Brown::Wanyama::Ledley::Mulgrew::Samaras:

    :Hooper:

    Presuming all those who didn't play today make it

    Looks like a very strong line-up if everyone's fit.

    Hate to put a dampener on this one but i think were going to get beat. Im usually one for biging us up in games like this but have a bad feeling thou i still think were going through. It'll make teh game against spartak even more important.

    I'd also rest Commons for this too. He's looked off the boil these last few weeks and might be needing a bit of a break. He showed glimpses of good play today, but was ineffective for the most part.

    Benfica are the weakest team in the group in my opinion, although they're probably better than Spartak defensively. Another Barcelona-standard performance and we'll sail it. Plus we will obviously have a far greater share of possession. Only complacency or players not giving their all that'll cost us.

    We certainly won't sail it. Benfica have won their last 6 domestic games and are on the back of a comfortable 2-0 win at home to Spartak.

    You know what I mean, we'll win by the odd goal. :smiley-laughing002: They're certainly not anything we can't handle if we keep Cardozo quiet - he's looking really dangerous at the minute.

    Their domestic wins have come against fairly poor opposition as well. Better domestic run than ours though so I can't say anything.
