I think the way they are now, a draw would be a disappointment. Its the right timing to play them. main striker is not fully fit either. Teodorczyc. Harbaioui( what is it with difficult names of their players lol). Looks ineffective in each game he played. Best players today were Roef and Trebel.

 

Agree. A draw would feel like an underachievement now in those circumstances. Anderlecht as they are now should be the cannon fodder in this group. Realistically we have to beat Anderlecht home and away and Bayern at home to have a scooby about finishing second.

 

Bayern are struggling a bit too. Ageing squad, Neuer injured till Dec/Jan, His replacement Ulreich had an absolute howler on friday, they gave away a 2-0 as well. Still can't see it, their bad spells usually only last 2/3 games at most.

Even third and then a good run in the Euro lg would be great.

 

A draw would not be a poor result by any stretch of the imagination. A win would be absolutely * fantastic, but a draw would be a good result also.

 

same team again i would like to see , we can win this but they are a good team , a draw would suffice at worst. working so its a radio job for me

 

This is BR's 1st CL win coming up. All the squad will be champing at the bit to put the PSG result behind them and get 3 pts on the board.

This Anderlecht team don't seem to have goals in them and concede. Even goal difference in the league so far. I'm sure they'll be hungry to put the Bayern result behind them but we edge this on desire and form.

We have goals from all around the squad. One thing I hope we work on is set pieces. Free kicks and corners are mostly wasted. We got big Boyata back who is always a danger in the box (not just his own!). This is something that needs to be worked on.

Frankly, I'd be disappointed with a point. It may be a good result with 3rd place in mind, but this as good a chance as we will get for an away CL win. It will give the squad some belief and stature for the future. Go for it.

 

Our biggest game of the season this. * it, let's throw the dice and attack. Griff and Moussa. Looking forward to a night after uni with some mates from my Revolutionary Russia History Degree class drinking and cheering on Hoops in Molly Malones.

Can you explain what you are basing that on? Bearing in mind I'm asking you to base that on something that doesn't involve you being on some seriously strong hallucinogenics.

That's all well and good sir but have a look at our away record in the champions league. Draw would be a great result

 

Tough game, games in Europe always are and we really aren't in a position to be super confident of putting such teams away.

I have a slight concern about Lustig at the moment, love the guy and he can be great at times but yesterday I felt his positioning was very poor and found himself in no mans land a few times.

It's all very well when you play against pub teams like sevco etc as they don't have the required quality to capitalise on such things.

But in Europe these errors more often than not can lead to a goal very easily.

 

Even if we draw, i want to score first to give me that * yas feeling. Cant wait.

I think we can beat this team even in their own patch. We are playing well and with confidence. Anderlecht are in a but of turmoil this year.

 

I feel this attitude is what got us gubbed in the PSG game. We need to be more clever than just throwing the kitchen sink at anderlecht. Yes, they will not be as good as PSG and they are having troubles in their domestic season and have just sacked their manager, but regardless, they are still a decent team.

If we are complacent and think we'll pump them coz of the above reasons, we will get beat. Yes, we can be confident but not over confident. I don't expect to win but we certainly can win if we play well from back to front.

This game will properly test BRs European credentials.
