Tuned in mainly to see him and only caught his brief substitution of less than a quarter hour, nothing substantial but long enough for a nice assist on Hatate’s goal

Not sure why he doesn't get a run. Is he going back to Barca in Jan?
Direct, incisive and really helps us going forward on left side. Maybe the physicality of the scottish game is difficult for him but you can see his quality. Should be starting much much more.

There was talk of him being recalled but it was dismissed. However he was in the team at the time of the recall story and has rarely started since so wouldn't be surprised if something is maybe happening behind the scenes.

Maybe also explains talk of KT back in January instead of on a bosman in the summer.

Can’t say Taylor wasn’t good today though.

  5. Don't know what this lad has done to get such limited game time under Brendan, a far more positive player than Taylor in possession and was excellent away to Atalanta in my opinion

Not had a start since Aberdeen at Pittodrie which was a match played in horrendous conditions (Taylor did provide a magic pass to Hatate that day tbf to him) so I think it's very harsh he's not started a game since then

Barcelona will also probably think twice about sending another player our way whilst Brendan is in charge after the limited game time he's received

I like him a lot and want him to feature more than he has. However he's made 14 appearances (4 in the CL). He's had 773 minutes which is almost exactly 8 and a half games. Limited game time isn't accurate when he wasn't brought in to be first choice.

I'm not going to pretend I know the opinions of Barcelona staff but I doubt they'll have major concerns about his time here. I'm sure there was even an article from the Catalonian press in here recently that was praising how well Valle was treated as soon as he arrived at Celtic, with the club sorting him out a flat very quickly.

I hope he starts Sunday, keep GT fresh for huns game.

  8. They'll have no qualms about how the lad has been accomodated off the pitch however on it they'll not be too enthusiastic regarding his game time in my opinion, it's not as if he's been kept out the side by a fullback at the level of Johnston on the other side of the pitch either, it's Greg Taylor who's current contract expires the same day as Valle's

Played 27 games this season so far, so I'd argue 8.5 games worth of minutes is still pretty limited, especially when you consider some of those games were only down to the fact that Taylor was out injured for a short spell too

If we let this lad go but keep Taylor, then, we deserve what we get.

14 appearances isn’t limited for a backup player.

Barcelona may not want to sell him. He may not want to stay.

Surprised this hasn't been bumped. Thought he was very good today. Not sure how much taller he is than Taylor but he's so much better at winning headers.

You know he was only playing tonight to rest Taylor for Ibrox.

Would love to see Valle starting though.

Shame cos we look better when he plays. Don't have Taylor contesting the midfield

I'd start him over Taylor at Ibrox...he has a great drop of the shoulder and goes outside so much more.. quality footballer who should be starting.

Excellent today. Solid defensively and got forward. Linked up well with the winger and got to the byline plenty times as well. Hope he starts on Thursday.

Didn't think he stood out as being particularly good or * but suppose that's a good thing that he fits in pretty seamlessly. Thought he showed a couple of good bursts of pace to cover and win back possession.

Helped us massively today by not having Taylor contesting the midfield and playing wider. Looked good today
