A guy who will continue to get better and better - and is already very * good. A pleasure to watch, and still very young. The addition to the coaching side - insert name here - should not be underestimated.

I think it's been said plenty of times but I'll say it again: Lustig at RB and Matthews at RW. Do it Lenny, you know it makes sense. And not just because Forrest is out but because Matthews is a far superior player than James, even if right wing is not his natural position.

But apparently there is a tendency in Welsh fullbacks to evolve into great wingers.

    Good call.

Lustig and Matthews are two of our best players and there has to be room for the two of them on the same pitch.

I could be wrong but as you said about evloving into wingers, Gareth Bale was a LB at one stage now he's a winger. I'd like to see Adam on the wing for a few games, also gives Forrest a little bit of competition.

Im sure that Matthews would offer more on the wing then Forrest.

Matthews is one of our most reliable players tbh.

It baffles me that he doesn't start.

He is one of our best players, using him at RW/M gives us the option of using Lustig at RB and blooding Darnell Fischer

I`m going to take a guess and say you`re steaming? :icon_mrgreen:

Anyhoo, wouldn`t play him at RB again. It was quite obvious he was a defender playing in an attacking position tonight. Put a lot of effort in but was hopeless in the final 3rd

I actually think Forrest would have been more dangerous than Matthews tonight.

He worked his socks off, but he was frustrating at times.

I agree, but we would have been more exposed at the same time. Brown would have had to drift to the right and would not have been as effective.

Forrest has shown that time and time again, he is frustrating in the games like last night. He very rarely uses his pace, I think it's down to a lack of belief.

If Matthews could have found a few good crosses, it would have been an even better display than it was. And in my opinion, he was excellent last night.
