    Is a Neil Lennon cult developing amongst Celtic fans and is it a dangerous thing that will lead to problems further down the line, akin to Arsne Wenger at Arsenal, when it is obvious that he is no longer a viable option as Celtic manager?


    What's the general consenus?

    I dont personally think there is a problem here ...For all the abuse he gets off rival fans , i really feel our fans having a go at him is out of order ..
    He is trying to build something here .
    The board gave him a contract till the end of last season then a rolling 12 month contract after that .
    He has been set as far as i know a target of winning the SPL this season , nothing more nothing less ..
    I think the Fans adore Lennon as he is a fan , im sure he will know when he cant take this team any further as he is also a fan and hates losing ..

    As with any other manager results will dictate Lenny's future.

    The comparison with wenger dosen't stand up, he has been manager of Arsenal for nearly 15 yrs won his respective League and brought through a plethora of young talent,
    Lenny is only in his second full season as manager.

    If people want to call it a cult then that's up to them. Personally I don't think it is.

    I love Neil Lennon. He embodies everything that is good about Celtic. He's intelligent, he's brave, he's a die hard Celtic man, he's Irish, he's Catholic, he understands what we want to see from our Celtic team and tries to give us a team that plays the 'Celtic way', he hates Rangers, he is very respectful of the Celtic support and people who have met him speak very highly of his personality. For me personally he ticks all the boxes.

    I have so much admiration for him after everything he's been through over the last 12 months. For him to stay on as our manager even after everything that's happened just speaks volumes for the bravery, tenacity and character of the man.

    In short, he is my favourite ever Celt.

    first season in management and accrued 91 points, scottish cup, league cup final and ended up with a winning record in old firms against sir walter of dignity.
