With the Celts setting their sights on both the SPFL Premiersip title and the Scottish Cup between now and the end of the season, the 2024 Player of the Year ceremony, sponsored by Call Robert, and incorporating the 20th staging of the event with a special Legendary Player of the Year award, promises to be the best yet.

Not to be outdone, Celtic FC Women are also on the front foot at this point in the season with Elena Sadiku’s squad on the hunt for league and Scottish Cup silverware, meaning that there are plenty of candidates to vote for in both men’s and women’s categories.

The event goes ahead at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on Sunday, May 12, and alongside the Player of the Year Award for each team, we also have the opportunity for you to revisit some of the season’s highlights when voting for the men’s and women’s Goal of the Season and Celtic FC’s Young Player of the Year.

You can also vote on our two special awards that will be presented at the 20th staging of our annual event – the Legendary Player of the Year and Legendary Goal of the Season awards, both chosen from previous winners over the past two decades.

Visit celticfc.com/player-of-the-year-2024-voting to register your vote for each of the categories listed below, and you will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win VIP tickets for the 2024 event at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro or one of three shirts signed by the men’s first-team squad

Went for Jota's v the huns, could have been any from about another 6 or 7, Hartson v Liverpool, Naka v Man U or huns, Kyogo cup final. Scary hard to pick lol.

    My votes

Men’s Player of the Year - CalMac - most consistent through the season, considered MoR but went young player for him player of the year

Men’s Goal of the Season - Kyogo Vs Athletico, a proper team goal started and finished by Kyogo

Women’s Player of the Year - Craig, limited knowledge so a bit of a random vote

Women’s Goal of the Season - Goal 4, cracker

Young Player of the Year - MoR - Standout out of those 4, Palma would be 2nd but a long way down Vs Matt

Legendary Player of the Year - Broony - not sure what this category was about so went overall on the player in their time at Celtic.

Legendary Goal of the Season Award - Tony Watt Vs Barca

Surprised at no B team votes in there this year, would have thought that would have been a category and their goal of the season

Hard to pick a legendary goal from that lot. Some absolute belters. I went with the 24 pass, 11 players getting a touch to win.

It's amazing the amount of corkers we score past the Huns.

Unpopular opinion but Hart for me as PotY. Slated unfairly by many fans first half of the season but has kept us in the hunt since Christmas.

No one deserves POTY this year IMHO, so I don't care for once. Genuinely can't think of a single player who deserves it. Probably Hart has been the least undeserving.

    Tough to pick a POTY.

MOR was by far our best player for most of the first half of the season, but he’s been fairly pish in 2024.

Surprised to see people saying McGregor. Think that’s just a vote because he’s the captain and it’s Callum McGregor. He’s been below his usual standards this season.

Think Joe Hart is probably the right call.

Not for me since January, I’d say it’s 50/50 between him and hart for both their half-seasons. Pretty stupid the votes even start before the end of the year when there’s still 8 games to go. 1 player could literally win us the title from here

If Hart gets poty it’s genuinely embarrassing for Celtic. A goalkeeper from a team that dominates the vast majority of games, and no one player has excelled enough to warrant it.

I’d vote O’Reilly as he did have a great few months at the start to the season. Although his goals and assists have dried up a bit, he’s still been a good enough performer overall.

I find it staggering that folk are suggesting Hart tbh. We must average 60-70% possession. He literally does heehaw the majority of the time. I feel he’s getting suggested because he’s retiring, coupled with almost all players being average or below.

At least O’Reilly was genuinely brilliant for at least 3 months and that’s easily enough to clinch it for me.

Matt O’Riley, stats for a cm this year are crazy, he’s dropped off a bit but the teams overall performances in games have also been bad up until the last 3 maybe. Think he will recapture some of his good form in last few games again also. Deffo can’t be Mcgregor. I love him but far too inconsistent this season and was so many games were he was hiding and below par. He’s vital to us for the run in but he hasn’t been as good as he usually is for us this season. Couple of good spells. Hart was posion start of the season but been great since winter break. Would have O’Riley ahead of him though.
