Not joking but the words highlighted make me laugh. Heart Aiden Mcgeady does not have. He never seems interested if we are playing a bad game. The other words are words we have been using since Martin O'Neil gave him his debut. But look the truth is that he has potential but its never going to amount to more than what we have seen from him already which IMO can be replaced.

A good offer of 7mil would be enough for me to see him go. No one cares what was said. The fact is that he said something and you cant do that to the manager. Do you think WGS did this to destroy Celtic? McGeady is not bigger than the club

I think standing up for himself and the rest of the squad shows heart, Loyalty is also a contributing factor. He chose Celtic over Man utd and that * says alot about the man. I dont believe strachan is out to destroy the club but i question his managerial abilites in the celtic sense. He has won 3iar and on his way to his 4th but not by playing the celtic way. We need to bolster club and hope strachan dosent buy another unknown. What happened to all the money we got for tv revinvues from the CL. Did we not revieve somewere in the region of 9mil?? Why isnt that put back into the club?? Look at what Porto did after Euro Cup, they spent there Money and won the * CL the next yr, What did we do.... sweet * all. Remained contempt for finishing in average places in europe instead of pushing for a quater/semi final spot.

He'll look like a stroppy wee * if he leaves and he would not want that as his Celtic 'legacy'.

On top of that I dont think we will recieve an acceptable offer.

I would be really suprised if he was away in the summer never mind Jan.

What does he broing to the team that couldnt be replaced with 2-3 million?

When Henke was likked with a move away years ago I was worried as we wouldnt be able to replace his goals or asists and general superb link up play and football brain.

I dont see anything in Brown that we'd stuggle to replace if he left. He runs about like a headless chicken and chases what he's lost. He's more inteseted in getting involved in petty squables with other players.

We payd over the odds for him. He was good in a Hibs team where he ws wide right and they bombed forward wrecklesly, with Celtic he's not up to keeping possesion. Crossas looks better and Robson uses ball better.

He did have a good 1st half but when Utd stepped up a gear he was lost.

9mill would be an great piece of business, we could find someone to do what he does without too much fuss.

i actually hope mcgeady leaves now after all the disputes . when/if he ever comes back into the team then he will not feel to good about it because him and wgs had a fallout , therefore he might not listen to wgs and he could cost us alot . i personally beleive mcgeadys heart has left celtic and is looking around in england or spain

Bottom line is he's the most tallented footballer to come out of the celtic youth system since Paul Mcstay, it would be a travesty if we lost him in my opinion.

If he is the most talented to come out of Our youth system since paul mcstay then why is there no big clubs in for him? I mean even Liam Miller went to Man U. If Mcgeady goes thats exactly how he will end up. Maloney went to villa but newcastle? Even Blyth Spartans have more history than Newcastle

The play on the field is going to be down to near Hun levels without Naka or McGeady.:31:

It's a shame GS had to chase away our best player just because he plays for Ireland.

Name 10 good things he's done this and last season. Best thing last season was get suspended

If Stan is worth 6-8 million then Browns worth 4 max, Stan could head, pass, shoot, create, good at keeping possesion.

Brown is an excellent playwer and he is younger than stan. we payed almost 5 million for Brown so we would hardly let him go for 4m and portsmouth certainly think he is worth more.

playing in a cm 3 with lenny and lambert doing the donkey work and a larsson and sutty strike partnership in front of you would make playing easier.

As I recall in stans first couple of seasons at us he struggled to settle and couldnt hold down a regular start,,Brown's already established himself as our main midfeilder.

As did Stan in his 2nd season after a tough year due to personal reasons.

1st season was quite poor but he was 19 and dint speak the lingo

We are not in a postion where we have to sell our best players, Brown will contribute to winning trophies, advancing further in the champions league which will in return generate money for the club. We should concentrate on keeping our best players and getting rid of players like Bobo, Donati and Killen who we are wasting money on and dont contribut anything to the team. I loved petrov, thought and still think hes a great player, but he got the chance to develop into the player he is, brown still has to develop and if a club thinks hes worth 9 million now just wait until hes fulfilled his potential!
