Spot on mate, i dont blame Samaras although he could have done better at the chances he missed which im sure he would have buried if he was firing on all cylanders (correct spelling?). It was obvisous after 10 mins that he was severly unfit, im more annoyed at why strachan waited until 70 mins to take him off. Coaching 101 right there

He missed a sitter vs Villarreal when he was on form and fully fit. I still think hes a good player though.

I lke Samaras, and he will score goals for us in the SPL.

He is simply not good enough for Europe, but that applies to half the team :54:

correct! 2 points in 5 games in europe, not down to a guy who missed a sitter & had a bad day at the office.

Henriks first season he was guilty of some poor touches, mistimed slips and bad finishes, took him a while to score in Europe and about 6-7 old firms to find the net.

Sammy cost 1.5m I think and hes given us a good domestic return, at 23 hes got plenty of time to learn, His first few matches at Man City he was running defenders ragged and scoring goal then his confidence dipped and he didnt find his way back into 1st team.

He's gony need a good run in the team and to develop mental stength to overcome a few games without goals. A strong settled player next to him should bring him on over the next few years.

When he's in full flight he is a joy to watch, I hope he gets a run in the team with JVH when fit, importantly they both want to be at Celtic and I'm sure they can deliver the goals to take us to the title.

The guy took plaudits when he was on form mate and rightly so, but he deserves stick when he doesn't perform like everyone else.

He was absolutely hopeless on Tuesday

Samaras is a good player, he has hown us that before he got injured.
But he played * on Tuesday night and just because he came back from injury does not make any excuses. Hes a professional footballer and should be putting chances like that in the net. Just back from injury or not.

He has the touch of a rapist.

His finishing is poor, usually goes under the keeper or through his legs.

His finishing has been poor since he joined us. As has his first touch, which is awful.

You are talking rubbish the guy was a steal at 1 million pound and scores goals on a regular basis which is why he is our top scorer , although I will agree his first touch is gash.

    I'm talking rubbish am I?

Look up his goals this season on youtube. Most of them are smacked right under the keeper or through his legs. Fact.

Then look at some of Larsson's finishes, that's how it should be done.

I agree it was a good deal and I'm glad he's scored so many, but he's not spectacular and certainly not the best striker we've had in years, as the first post said.

I do, because it means he'll miss far more chances than a lethal finisher would.

Do you really care how the goals go in? I couldn't give 2 hoots how Celtic score their goals. Anyway would a player that is as bad as you're making out score those goals against Kilmarnock in the style he did.

He's not in the same league as Larsson and no other player has been in the last 30 years!
