I played a few games on my Celtic save before reverting back to Spain.

Again i made massive changes.

I needed to get rid of some dead wood and got a fair bit of cash in return.

What you type there usually makes no difference (more useful for multiplayer or for your own pleasure of "more realism" I guess), but some of the stuff does get recognised by the game like cursing.

 

Just won 9IAR. Wenger retired and Arsenal came to me for the job. Offering me a contract of 125k, a wage budget of 2m and a transfer budget of 120m (They won the treble that last season.. FA cup, UCL and EPL).

I rejected them though, I want 10IAR before I go anywhere. I'm getting greedy.

If we don't win the title this year, then getting 10IAR in FM10 will be a pain in the *. Another reason, like we needed any more, to win it lol.

 

Milevskyi wouldnt cost much more than Doyle but if Reading dont get promoted, you could get a good price.

I knew I could count on TC for giving me a Hoops team that is realistic enough cost and talent wise while forcing me to think hard about training and tactics.

So, if you are interested I brought in 15 new players for Celtic and will be starting at the beginning of the 98-09 season. The current squad before we get to transfers looks like this:

i was going to suggest that big czech * jan koller for JVoH but missed the boat

 

I like the idea of him, I've never had him on a team before - I've had K.Doyle alot, I can make that move before I load it up.

In my wolves game Balotelli fell out with the manager and was availible for free, trouble is my main scouts (JP 20/20 and 19/20) only rate him 4 stars and as the 4th best striker I would have (with no improvement likely), not sure what to do tbh.

 

Get him HS. Worst case scenario he doesnt fit and you sell him on.

As for my striking situation...i only have three strikers (Nilmar, McDonald and Fletcher).

Anyway the board decided to go over my head and sell both Fletcher and McDonald to EPL clubs....ON DEADLINE DAY.

Im now scrambling around for an available striker at the last minute, or im stuck ith Sheridan and McGowan as back-ups

Did you offer them better contracts?

 

Has anyone tried any challenges? Im getting a bit bored with FM at the moment so looking for something different to try.

Im thinking of picking a Scottish 3rd division team and trying to get them to the SPL using just the players they already have, not buying any players, the only way i can get players is when they come through the youth. Might be impossible but will give it a go.

 

Cos it was on deadline day it happened dead fast.

So i got all the messages at the same time, meaning i never got the chance.

But Milsevskyi was the star in his debut, scoring two goals. One of which was a peach. Ball was bouncing out for a GK and he dragged it back in, beat a defender and slammed it in.
