FM 09 General chat

I have recently developed an outrageous formation after pretty much sticking with the flat 4-4-2 for the past couple of FM versions.

I'm Nottingham Forest and in my first season was given 300k. Finished 6th which was pretty amazing (media prediction 17th) considering how awful the strikers Forest start with are. Didn't get promoted in fact lost to Derby my rivals, but thats OK as my team are nowhere near ready for the Premiership.

Anyway now the board are EXPECTING ME to reach playoffs at least and have given me an extraordinary sum of 200k to achieve this. It was only in the close season that I finally managed to offload Robert * Earnshaw for £975k. He's been a total deadweight, by far maximum earner (I can offer new recruits 9k a week, that * was on 15k) so I'm delighted to have gotten rid.

For a small team Abreu is amazing and can be signed for free. My scout randomly picked up Sanmartean also for free!! Lequi can be bought for £50k and then sold for around £2 million and is an absolute beast (although absolutely no pace).

It's a nightmare getting rid of players and getting some cash so my only hope at the moment is continue to do well in the league and hope I can make small signings with big sell ons. My squad is also filled with cheap loans which is great in the short term, but again is a burden on my wages and at the end of the season I end up losing crucial players

Desperate for a cheap goalkeeper and centre-back. And basically desperate for anyone else as my team would get a raping in the Premiership..... Any hot tips anyone?

 

Looks like a perfect way to hoard a massive number of valid (just slightly mistyped, but how many variations of 0's and O's can there be per one key?) keys to use in illegal copies. Personally, I would never give away my key on internet.

AC Milan have just been done (sorta)

They've transfer listed Jankulovski for £0... of course I put a bid in for him. He wanted around £32k a week + 16k appearance bonus though! Offered him 12k p/week and 15k p/appearance. Turns out he only accepted because Milan are paying him 12.25k p/week for the rest of his current contract even though he's going to sign for me :icon_mrgreen:

Finished my 1st season with the league. Just into my 2nd and I only got 3 million to start but then they released another 3 million :icon_mrgreen:. I signed Lewandowski, Wijnaldum, Di Santo on loan, Daniel Sturridge on a free and a whole load of young re-gens. I don't think i've sold anybody yet apart from younger guys and Donati p.s How do you get clubs to offer lots for your players ? Like others have done with McGeady.

 

You can offer them to clubs mate.

Go on the players frofile and select it from the action bar, choose you price and then wait for the bids to roll in lol

No goals in 10 and a half games... he's only played 11(2) games. So that's about 12 games he's played... * got me good

I don't know if Vagner Love is on that list but don't sign him whatever you do!

He's at Valencia and has some sexy-looking stats

I had Viana last year, nabbed him for my Betis side for about £2m and he was my playmaker for years - top man. I reccommend him Dazza

In the 2nd season took them to the UEFA cup final and 2nd in the league... I swear in the 3rd season I was about to win the CL and league double but you foiled my plans by crashing the game deliberately. You didn't want me to embarrass you :icon_mrgreen::icon_mrgreen:

I think i'm more happy about the fact Love scored than I won!





Result is even sweeter as Rangers pipped us out the scottish cup in the semis 2-1 a couple of days earlier

This result means I win the league with 4 games to spare :icon_mrgreen:


And i'm going to sign LuaLua (ex portsmouth) on a free

 

This FM is still a bit too easy if you play with Celtic as the screenshot can attest lol. And this came just two weeks after I beat them 4-1 in the league cup semis. And to add insult to injury Bawbag Bawwy got injured as well. In FM 2008 I lost just one game against them in 6 seasons at Celtic lol.

 

Ws eally looking forward to getting the game for the xbox the other day to find out that its not coming put for it.
