Celtic will face renewed scrutiny from Uefa after a spectator managed to come on to the pitch during last night's match.
The man, who entered the field from the North Stand 35 minutes into the game, ran 40 yards before being apprehended by police and stewards.
There was no attempt to strike a player, unlike last October at Celtic Park when a home fan hit the Milan goalkeeper, Dida.
Celtic were fined £25,000 for that incident, half of which was deferred for two years.

 

I heard the guy had an American flag wrapped round him? Political statement from some guy 'cos he knew there'd be a massive UK audience, or an * that's cost the club more money and bad press?

 

If this causes us to miss out on either the last 16 or the UEFA Cup I'm flying over to Glasgow and killing that * myself. Why do people think this is a good idea? It's only hurting us, nobody gives a * about whatever statement you're trying to make.

 

Another thing to try and bring Celtic's good name down

No footage was shown on tv but guessed something like this had happened when game came to a halt

These * morons do it to try and make a statement on national tv, and the sports directors turn the cameras away from the guy who's invaded the pitch. It's senseless and no real fans would ever think about it. Morons.

It was amazing to think that there were a line of policemen and security right in front of that stand and he still got through. No way that was Celtic fan

The stewards took that long to even move when he was on the pitch and they walked to get him, they should have ran, was pish poor, take the £25k off their wages/bonuses

 

i think the * was a hun. he tried to go ahead with hartley and mcmanus. i dunno if they showed that bit on the telly.

 

it looked from where i was that he tried to shake there hand and they told him to * off
