Celtic is an Irish club based in Scotland and its as simple as that. Celtic is a club for everyone and creed or nationality doesnt count.having said that the club is very proud to emroil itself in the irishness that surrounds it and rightly so. to say that saying the club is irish is a disgrace to the scottish support is a bit biased to say the least. what about the irish contingent that have to put up with the fact that scottish people declare celtic is a scottish club with irish roots. imo if an irishman creates something in a different country it is still his at the end of the day. How many scottish flags do you see at Parkhead brought by all these scottish fans that you glorify???? 1 maybe 2 at most. for example take a look at pics of Seville. didnt see many scottish flags there did you? afterall as the majority of you say ' Celtic is a scottish club ''

    then show it?

They sing songs of terrorist groups from Northern Ireland, same as Celtic fans.

you claimed we have links to Ireland because we sing Irish songs, we sing songs about terrorists mate, as do they.

So are they an N.Irish club ?

the only real link we have to Ireland is brother walfrid, explain to me where the IRA songs came into it ?

I may be wrong but do the home nations not participate seperately in these games therefore there would be need for a union jack at the ceremony

    1. im afraid your a bit misled. northen ireland doesnt exist.
    2. how dare you say that the IRA and its people are terrorists. it shows your uneducated on the subject so id advise you to '' Dún do bheál'' before you say something even more stupid. Fighting against opression by the UVF and UDA is terrorism? you really are deluded. wise up, pick up an irish history book have a read and come back when you know something that is based on facts rather than pish in the paper

I believe the IRA are terrorists.

what makes the things they've done, different from the things Al-Queda has done ?

bombing manchester, wasn't that a terrorist act ?

Nah i think you will find we have links to Ireland

Where as Rangers have no links to Norn Iron

Which makes it baffling why they have red hand flags and sing them type of songs, but its not surprising from a club who's ethos is anti Irish and anti catholic.

I take it you don't have a problem with Irish songs but have a problem with singing about events that have happened in Irish history ?

I have a problem with people saying IRA songs at Celtic Park are OK because we have irish links.

Where do Celtic play their home matches? Glasgow
Where have Celtic always played their home matches? Glasgow
Which league do Celtic play in? The Scottish Premier League.

If you look at the club's social mission statement then you will see that Celtic is indeed, a Scottish club and always has been.

I don't take a Scottish flag to Celtic games because I simply don't take flags to games. I wear a top and a scarf and that's all I feel the need to take.

I dont think they do and they shouldn't, we are NOT AN IRISH CLUB, WE ARE SCOTTISH!

I agree with this, a terrorist is someone who creates terror( quite self explanitory actually) and the IRA did just that.

As did the British army under the banner of the union jack

Difference being the IRA was spawned as a defensive action

Then I find it incredibly odd that every time Celtic play a European match, that the opposition supporters always fly to Glasgow and not Ireland.
Also, most foreigners refer to Celtic as 'Glasgow Celtic' and unless they have a poor knowledge of geographical locations of cities, they will know that Celtic is a Scottish club.

im not even going to give my view on what the roots of our club is as i know in my heart and soul its of IRISHNESS.

so you define a terrorist as someone who defends its countrymen and women from the surpressing forces of the arrogant brittish *. nice logic
