Ive kicked the habit!!

On sunday i stopped smoking, i bought patches and ive not looked back since. Im so proud of myself, and although the cravings are hard....they only last a few mins so really its easier than i thought. I smell better, i feel better, im noticing my money go up already!

Just thought id post this to see how many of you have stopped or been brave enough to try

Oh and I haven't stopped yet. Infact I haven't even thought of stopping yet!

the thing is.... i didnt want to stop, i enjoyed my cigarettes. its just so unsociable now and expensive. So i gave it a go, but i think the worst is over, the first few days are when people cave.

 

I've known people who cave a month later, and strange things can tempt you out of nowhere. It's not an easy road, but it's hardly impossible if you set your mind to it.

Im so determined cos a few people i know have been saying i wont beat it!! nothing like a boost eh!! Ive been skipping breaks at work just so i wont be tempted. nicorette keep sending me txts saying its been four days, the smell is gone and your nerve endings have started to repair themselves.... it keeps you going lol

Keep it up, when I stopped smoking I opened a building society account and direct debitted the money i would normally have spent on smokes.
I had one pack of * left from holiday and smoked 1 a day in the evening till they were gone, it was willpower after that that got me through.

 

3 months and counting. Stopped for 2 1/2 years before and started again so we'll see

 

apparently after 9 months you get this almighty craving that you cant shake and you start again. has anyone found that they have gained weight?

I drink more now. Hangovers are much less severe when aff the * though

 

Wait to your on a night out and you see all the smokers outside the pubs n clubs. I don't think I could cope with that experience if I were giving up but in saying that it's the boredom factor that normally gets me to light up.

 

i crave when i wouldnt normally smoke but thats the forbidden fruit syndome eh. i cant smoke when i drink, it makes me sick
