What does Celtic mean to you?

Anyone who reads the Celtic View will already know about this wee article that's at the back of the magazine now.

Basically, it's a wee page with a small Q & A to Celtic fans and what the club means to them.
Thought it would be a good idea to post what Celtic means to you on TC.

1. Celtic v hibs in 2001 at parkhead celtic won of course

1)- 1948 at CP. I think it was against Third Lanark.
2)- 1957 LC Final 7-1. Scarred in my brain.
3)- Charlie Tulley. Carried me to safety when the wall fell on all the boys at Shawfield.
4)- Jimmy Mc Grory
5)- Being at the final in Lisbon 1967.
6)- Seville.
7)- Mu *, my religion, My life.

 

1: First game? Havnt been to one yet...
2: Favourite game? 2-1
3: All time Celtic hero? Larsson or Jinky
4: One Celt I wish I could have watched live? Larsson
5: Celtic supporting highlight? Winnining three in a row( to young for other big achievments) Also maybe the Uefa cup final.
6: Most disappointing moment? Losing The Uefa Cup final.
7: What Celtic means to you? Alot of things. Passion, pride, unity

 

1: First game?
Against dundee at home we win 2-0 1979 I think

2: Favourite game?
Partizan Belgrade, we won 5-4 lost 6-6 on away goals jakanofski scored 4 goals. Joe Miller was trying to keep the ball at their corner flag at the end of the game and they manged to some how get it back and score a goal within seconds to win

3: All time Celtic hero?
Kenny Dalgliesh

4: One Celt I wish I could have watched live?
Kenny Dalgliesh as a celt, I did see him with liverpool

5: Celtic supporting highlight?
Seville atmosphere during the day

6: Most disappointing moment?
Losing Uefa final

7: What Celtic means to you?
sleepless nights..... either with joy or fighting with, what ifs

1: First game? Partick Thistle v Celtic 12th March 1988 - We won 3-0, I think Billy Stark scored two and Tommy Burns won the Mr Superfit award! :icon_mrgreen:

2: Favourite game? 4-3 Juventus game..

3: All time Celtic hero? Lubo

4: One Celt I wish I could have watched live? Jinky

5: Celtic supporting highlight? 3-0 at Ibrox - 2 from Lubo and Henrik's 50th of the season.

6: Most disappointing moment? The whole Raphael Sheidt affair.

7: What Celtic means to you? Blood.

 

1: First game? Cant actually remember but it was a while ago, a friendly i think
2: Favourite game? Spartak Moscow (penalties) or Nakamura freekick vs Man Utd. The Juve game where we won 4-3 at home was also quality
3: All time Celtic hero? Henrik Larsson
4: One Celt I wish I could have watched live? Dalgleish or Jinky
5: Celtic supporting highlight? watching them make it to Seville and beating some big teams at Parkhead over the years in CL
6: Most disappointing moment? Seville or Bratislava as we actually disgraced ourself was embarassing to watch

1: First game? v man city in dublin early 90s,1st at cp was against p.thistle 1996
2: Favourite game? 3-0 v rangers

7: What Celtic means to you?being part of a family and supporting the greatest team in the world

 

1: First game? Celtic vs Dundee Utd - 2nd game of season 03/04.
2: Favourite game? Either of the Rangers games at home last season or the CL games.
3: All time Celtic hero? Henrik Larsson
4: One Celt I wish I could have watched live? Jinky
5: Celtic supporting highlight? Winning 3 in a row
6: Most disappointing moment? Losing the league on the last day 04/05

Celtic Vs Hibs in 2005, sure we won 2-1

2: Favourite game?
6-2

3: All time Celtic hero?
Larsson, too young for other legends

4: One Celt I wish I could have watched live?
Larsson, only saw him play at the Phil O'Donnell game

5: Celtic supporting highlight?
Barcelona, first away trip and was brilliant atmosphere

6: Most disappointing moment?
Losing UEFA Cup final

7: What Celtic means to you?
So much, a large part of my life revolves around Celtic. Great Fans, Great Team, Great history.

 

First Game: Home against Clyde early 70's the main stand was being rebuilt at the time


Favourite Game: 5-0 v Sporting Lisbon

All Time Celtic Hero: Jimmy Johnstone

One Celt I wished I'd seen live: Jimmy McGrory

Celtic Supporting Highlight: Barcelona 0 Celtic 0 UEFA Cup a few years back, the Barcelona public and supporters were brilliant that day/night.

Most Disappointing Moment: Any time we lose

What Celtic Means to Me: Every emotion is possible being a Celtic supporter, highs of winning leagues etc, lows of losing to poxy European teams that we should be trouncing, happy family at the Croydon CSC, banter with local huns, there is just so much to put here.

 

1: First game? Celtic v Bayern Munich 1/02/2000. A friendly called the Millennium Match. Fans were allowed in over two hours before the game and they showed a documentary on the big screns about Celtic's century. This made it a great first game. Celtic lost 2-1 if I remember correctly. my second match was two weeks later, we lost 3-1 to Inverness Caley Thistle.

2: Favourite game? 6-2 v Rangers

3: All time Celtic hero? Henrik Larsson. I feel privileged to have grown up watching him bang them in every week.

4: One Celt I wish I could have watched live? Jinky, just to watch his magical footwork and see him skinning defenders with ease.

5: Celtic supporting highlight? Winning three in a row last season. The great comeback. The emotion. The dedication of it to tommy Burns. It all made me proud to be a Celtic fan. Stopping the 10 is also up there..

6: Most disappointing moment? Losing in Seville or losing 5-0 to Artmedia Bratislava. I'll say no more.

7: What Celtic means to you? Everything. Most of all, I love being part of the Celtic family.

 

First game was against motherwell at celtic park. Pierre van hoojdoink scored on 92nd minute to record a 1 nil victory, i was just behind the net when he headed in. amazing.

Favourite game was 6-2 victory over the gers

All time hero has got to be King Henrik

One celtic i wish i coulda watched live was jinky johnstone or billy mcneill

Highlight has got to be larssons lob against the gers

Most disappointment moment was losing the uefa cup to porto, a match we shoulda won

That was my first game too I was just to the right of the goal, i was dissapointed cause we didnt score and loads of people started to leave and i remember Jackie McNamaras cross and big pierre headed home, brilliant
