Aye. Loved it back in the day and will occasionally go back for a rewatch. Some of the episodes in the first 5 seasons are absolute classics. Season 6 and beyond aren’t as good but still enjoyable.

I sometimes see it on the BBC when flicking about and I always stop and watch it, one of our best shows

When they brought it back for the last few seasons, it got a bit of stick I feel at first for not being quite the same.
But think that was a lot of fans nostalgia playing on them.

Binge it all every so often and it's absolutely a cracking show start to finish (some meh episodes for sure).

That last episode though, I'll watch it, but it's a kicker every time

Loved it and still watch the occasional episode on Netflix.

When they brought it back though you could tell they were trying too hard to be funny and that methadone Mick character did my box in.

Didn't know it was on Netflix. What does people think of the meaning of the end?

Sure I saw a clip of the pair of them recently stating the end camera POV is meant to be us, as in the viewer, we are treated/welcomed as an old friend.

It's no meant to be jack and victor or a family member of theirs.

I had this on VHS back in day - classic (1999).

I still prefer Chewin’ the Fat vs Still Game - but among best laughs I’ve ever had watching those shows.

That’s where they originated but can’t remember if they even had names or that might have started out from the old guys singing songs in the pub sketches.

They did say that the show was originally inspired by a French show set in Paris, with a similar theme.

What an outstanding watch. Loved it then and still love it just as much today. Honestly can't say the same about the series.

Not something I go back and watch again and again like some people but I did enjoy it mostly. Agree on methadone Mick, thought he was far too over the top and the same goes for any neds that were in it but obviously they need to be understandable to an English audience as well.

The last episode was very well done though. They absolutely nailed it. Some series leave you with a sadness that they're over but that just left you with a sadness about life being over in general. The end of a generation. Except Boaby, the *.

One of my favourite parts of the end scene is when Frances fades and Methodone Mick appears. So while the others died and it's sad, the positive is Mick got himself back on track. I think that's a nice little bit to sort of stay positive with.

The ending is up there with Blackadder goes forth.

Yeah...Loved the 1999 live version and the First section of the old still game Seasons 1-6

The live version 2014 and the Seasons 7-9 were shocking tbh.

They changed it all to suit the English TV viewers....The language was toned down all the characters talked differently.

Methadone Mick was the worst ever character in it...Annoying as * and not funny.

Seasons 7-9 should not have been made imo.....First 6 seasons were absolutely fantastic viewing but they were pushed into making many more after season 6 ended.....Took years to do it and was a massive let down.

A few funny moments..Like Jack stuck in the bath etc were decent.
