January transfer window

RB, CB, LB, CM, RW, LW, CF......seriously bhoys and ghirls why do it to yourselves. The board will do whatever they feel like and the only thing you can be sure of is that it won't be what is required. Nothing significant will change until they are gone. A new coach might improve things to a degree but we'll never truly upgrade until we have owners in place with the vision, intelligence and desire to see the best version of Celtic possible.

 

We do not need a LW, even with Balikwisha having a poor start we have Tounekti there and Jota coming back.

RW has to be priority.

 

Left back is the biggest concern at present. We're an inevitable KT injury away from having to recall Adam Montgomery.

 

We need a RB, LB, CB, RW and ST.

That's a minimum. Still woefully short of quality at CM as well but we have more pressing concerns.

 

Right wing and striker, both starting quality would give us a real lift and should be in straight away..

Then a right back on loan til the end of the season. A right sided centre half and an 8..

4 or 5 first teamers needed..

Edit: Forgot left back as well ffs need another in badly as well now. There's the real possibility we'll have no first team left backs available in December bar Inamura..

This presupposes the Derek McGregor story is correct, and we are indeed getting Nancy, because Tisdale knows his assistant.

 

We are heading into this window with huge problems already, the minimum requirement We will need are 4-5 first team players, if MO'N and Shaun Maloney are still in charge by then do the Board give them the funds to sign players that they will require to see us to the end of the season or do we end up appointing a new manager like Nancy or Knutsen and fill the team with loan signings because either of them hasn't had sufficient time to assess what they are going to need.

We are in a bit of a dilemma.

 

The injuries will make the window more diffcult unfortunately. We need to ship a fair bunch of players out as well to bring in more.

 

Left back will just need to be another loan if weve got Robertson on a pre contract. Maybe Liverpool will loan him for 6 months so they atleast make a bit of a fee?

Worst injury hit season weve had since ange wrecked everyone's hamstrings.

 

We should ask them for Salah loan in Jan too, we do need a right winger.

Robbo will sign a year extension with the option of another year.
I think there will be a gentlemans agreement around that second year with him considering what hes done with them. It will make sense to liverpool and him...

Hes confident we will still want a 33 year old Robbo would be my guess

 

I hate to flag it but Montgomery is also out with a fairly lengthy injury the now.

 

its looking like the same clueless * will have yet another go at making the club a laughing stock .even if there was a manager in place and the squad was assessed ,targets were identified how could you depend on the same clowns to actually get players signed .a very simple process is made into a complete shitshow ever since dom mckay was here

 

we will bring in one on a permanent deal near the start of the window and then it will come to the last day and we will get a loan from the english premier league. Calling it straight away.

 

Inamura must be given a chance before then.

 

Definitely a starting quality striker and right winger. The rest fine, but not as urgent considering Inamura is there and looked OK to fill in and Pusey looks OK. Also, I'd like to see Donovan back getting a chance as I thought he looked really good.

The big thing for me is replacing anyone that leaves.

 

RW will be easy as we have none.
ST will be hard as we have 4
LW not a priority and will be hard to manage 3 when Jota is back
CM should be easy if we plan on shipping Bernardo and Hatate out

In the back line it all depends on what we are planning to do with Murray, Donovan and Ralston for starters. Abd if or not Robertson is on his way.

I don't think we will see 5-7 players coming in January unfortunately as we need to ship away a fair bunch of players.

 

I think other positions like fullback is urgent to be honest..

Last Thursday night surely hammered that home for everyone..

 

2 strikers and 2 right wingers are absolutely top priority and should be in the door once the window opens. Instead we’ll scramble about on deadline day and have a centre mid & GK.

No faith whatsoever the current regime will recruit properly, especially without a new manager in.

 

I don't see any way in which we sign 2 of each..

We have Iheanacho and Kenny. Maeda who can and also will pop up up there. It'll be 1 striker i think for now. Same as right wing..

If we sign 2 for each in the January window then we'll be signing some amount of players considering we need a

Left back
Centre mid
Right sided centre half (possibly)

Loads to do. I don't even care if about 4 of them are loans to get us through til the summer..

 

Going to take us at least 2 windows to get this squad back to anywhere near a level it needs to for competing in the Champions League next season.

January is difficult to do business for most clubs. That being said, we really need to get 3 permanent players in that go straight into the first team and a loan for maybe right back.

RB, CM, RW, ST are needed urgently. If Hatate and Maeda want to leave, then please let them and replace them. I think Maeda will definitely leave. Meaning we need RB, CM, RWx2 and ST. Think Yang should be punted anyways.
