Would have much preferred Knutsen but he wanted certain assurances we obviously didn't want to give which is worrying. Just shows we intend more of the same. Board need to * off sharpish

Hes all over the back pages along with rodgers off to Saudi.

All I knows, he looks pretty cool, but his name is a bit soft.

I think he play a 3-4-2-1 which is pretty exciting tbh. Overflowing the midfield is about time we do.

No horseshoe and hes got my full backing. The players love attacking football and will respond by playing it. Hopefully it doesnt leave us to weak at the back though. A bit of, it'll work in scotland but dodgy in europe.

His teams concede and score lots. Results this year have not been stellar.

Have I missed something, The reports are saying the shortlist is Knutsen, McKenna & Nancy. Why is everyone acting like Nancy has the job ?

As a shortlisted 3 that seems very strong.

Just have to do it lol as every podcast is pronouncing him "Nuutsen"

It is "Knootsen" not a silent K.

Nancy has came way in in the betting but football manager betting is notoriously volatile
    Let's hope Knutsen gets it

Has a bit of an ange personality, no nonsense and doesn't take * so maybe that's what we need right now, a character to fire a rocket up their backsides

Seems I'm one of the only folk keen on Nancy.

Everything I've read suggests he's an innovator, strong personality, worked his way up ala Ange, attacking, brave football. Something a little different in his preferred system. Also: knowledge of an untapped market.

    Get the big yin in.

Have to admit I haven't heard of Nancy but, then again, I hadn't heard of big Ange. I think we got lucky with big Ange and the same could happen with this guy however, is it a gamble which could end up in disaster?. I'd feel easier if it was Knutsen or McKenna

Another point in his favour: like Ange, he knows a market that's just going into its off-season. January would be the ideal time to pick up a few bargains.

Whilst acknowledging and agreeing with everything your said, it has to be recognised that this looks risky and a big gamble. To a certain extent every appointment is but when you look at the other candidates we are after, this seems far and away the riskier move

Could he be this years Maresca? In 2023 he was a heavy favourite and who the board wanted only for DD to veto it for BR

Aye, can't deny that. I'd rather we take a risk on someone who could really light the place up personally. Unless the alternative is Knutsen, who is my first choice and ticks every box. But I just don't see that one happening.

One of the easier markets in janaury because the European Market just got 10x harder when all clubs are still competing in Europe by that point now.
