Brendan Rodgers Discussion Thread

BR created his own problems separate to the Boards negligence. For me he's not really been managing the team well since last season. For whatever reason he's had little professionalism or motivation for quite a while. I don't really think the * show the board has served up excuses that.

Maybe he could have turned it around this season, but he walked after saying so many times he wouldn't. Until we know why it's hard to have a concrete opinion on that but it's hard to separate an opinion on him from that too.

Hope he does well in the future but it is looking like we are in better shape without him than with him. Hopefully we get to find out similar for DD too.

 

I don't understand how I've been selective according to you. I've covered all the games since Rodgers left. I've said that Rodgers management of the squad has been poor this season. How on earth can I be accused of being selective? I've been fair and consistent there. We arguably put in our worst performance of the season on Thursday, could easily have lost 7-0

When we return from the international break we have St Mirren away, Feynoord away, Dundee and Hearts at home, Roma at home and Falkirk away - that is a difficult run of games. Let's judge how much improved we are after those.

I don't have issue with criticism of Rodgers for the performances and squad management this term. We all know the term new manager bounce, we will soon have the answers whether it's a bounce or not. The standard of performance Thursday has just completely deflated my expectations this year in regard to the remainder of the season. I think whoever comes in needs a major overhaul of the squad to have a chance of the title.
