Just isn't a starter..

 

Perfect impact player..

Never grabs a start by the scruff of the neck

 

He is just 6th choice out of 6 and that's fine. Don't start him.

 

Very poor today, the guy is a hard worker but very limited ability, surprised we signed but squad player at best.

 

He’s better than Dundee but not good enough for a pretty poor Celtic. Tries his heart out though.

 

Except the times when he does, including 3 MotM (the most recent of which was the 5-1 league win at Pittodrie in May, as part of a hybrid 1st/2nd string Celtic side), but ok then. We are all aware of the perception as a starter v impact, but statistically his starting numbers are not that bad. Admittedly has not been in great form recently... but who has?

 

He was poor today, particularly his pressing. At times it looked like he can’t run.

 

We still have not got the right midfield mix yet.

McCowan was very good with Dundee, but strikes me best as an impact sub. I don't think he has the best of engines to be a 90 minute man myself.

I'm coming round to the view that our best midfield three could be McGregor Engels and Balikwisha after viewing today's performance.

Balikwisha has that bit of attitude about him, which I love to see in a Celtic player.

He could be the hard man we need in midfield.

 

I'm a big fan but wasn't his best today. Quiet.

 

He is definitely an impact player from the bench..

Especially this season he's looked poor when starting.. I like him, want him to seize his chances when he starts, but doesn't do it enough.. much like, Engels and Bernardo too.

 

I like him but he was dreadful today.

 

There was * all balance in the midfield with him, Hatate and McGregor in there. Gaps everywhere defensively and pressing, a very good attacking player but needs the right player next to him.

 

I felt he was very flat today. A few nice contributions in the final third but didn't think he was working anywhere near hard enough off the ball.

 

I just don’t think he is at the necessary level and I think his confidence has took a hit since the beginning of this year. His first 6 months or so when called upon you couldn’t fault him. Scored a few goals and had that one game where he set up 3 or 4 in the one game and was excellent.

Looked to be the one tasked with getting close to the striker today and never really managed to get himself into too many good attacking positions. He is another too that lacks the physicality we are sorely missing, very one paced and pretty easily brushed aside.

 

Never seems to take advantage of his starts, he's an impact player from the bench at best.

 

I liked him when he signed, full of energy drive determination and struck a good shot.
It’s like he’s lost confidence looks lost at times.

 

Could argue he didn't grasp his chance but thought he was okay. Not amazing but not bad either. Not his usual goal threat but played a couple nice passes.

Sometimes it's frustrating watching him pick up a good pocket of space only to not be passed to.

 

Hatate took one right off him when he was in a great position only to do * all with it.
