The Perfect Neighbour (2025). Real-life documentary film using actual police bodycam footage and court footage, it tells the story of the Susan Lorincz case in Ocala, Florida. Interesting and enjoyable. 8/10.

Are they based on true stories, or are you pulling my legs?

LOL....The first one is a true story. Pretty shocking tbh....They did come up to surface whilst diving and the boat had miscounted them....They found their ripped up belongings later in the ocean.

The second one isnt but i did hear in a radio show once that it happened off coast of california once....with no sharks around but they all managed to get back in boat after hours.

Being stuck in the middle of the ocean gives me the fear.
There's a film called "Nowhere", where a pregnant woman is kidnapped, flung in a shipping container, ship sinks, but she's afloat in the container.
Ano, sounds *, but was quite good

Saw Open Water years ago. Know it was loosely based on a true story, obviously they don't know exactly what happened (think the families complained about how they were portrayed, their arguments etc as obviously it was all fictional), but it's a terrifying idea.

Read a story recently about a woman that was left on a remote uninhabited island and died when the cruise ship left without her, reminded me of it. Imagine coming down the hill or coming up from a dive and seeing the boat * off without you. You'd think/hope they would do a careful headcount FS.

Aye that's it mate. * that, if you'd seen the boat heading off you'd be thinking surely not, surely they're going to turn back. Then it disappears into the distance.

Having said that if it was only hours after it left that it returned maybe shed fallen or something as well.

We watched Weapons last night for some Halloween viewing.

Really enjoyed it, especially the way it’s shot and the camera movement. Causes some serious anxiety.

Frankenstein .................Del Toro brings emotion and depth to the story, the visuals are top notch, not the film you think it will be and all the better for it imo.
