Just now, at the absolute minimum we need a rb, lb, rw and striker.

Could add a cb and cm in there as well but feel the aforementioned 4 positions are more a necessity for now.

 

True, but the LB and RB can just be loans TBF. We just need a striker and a RW as actual signings.

 

If we can make Sarrachi permanant I would agree. Don't mind loans if it's a player ready to step straight into the starting squad.

We need a fair few in and in January just won't happen for all that we need.

But I'm sceptical as to what we do in general. MON has already said he hasn't planned or look at the next window. So has Tisdale and for who?

A decision about management needs to be made and announced soon, whether it's MON till Jamuary or beyond or what our plans are going forward.

A lot riding in this window to get correct amd win the title, that's for sure.

 

Despite the chat about manager signs off on all players, I think we are wanting to get back to club signings being the norm with a manager input.

We have been linked with a few players since Rodgers left so, it must be Tisdale or another that is identifying these guys.

If we get 4 real quality additions there, I'd be happy enough.

 

Squad is looking like it can be assessed a bit fairer these days.

Still woefully under strength and lacking in depth with quality.

A few positions also need a proper right look at and sorted out. Right back being one of them.

Need another CB, ideally a right footed one, but as we see with Trusty, it's not as essential as previously made out.

RB needs looked at. AJ won't be here for much longer youd imagine, along with Ralston just needs moved on already.
Donovan should be all over the game time Ralston is getting to help his development.
Ralston out, assess Donovan, if good enough and AJ is fit enough, it may be okay. But likely we need a wee Josip-AJ situation to happen to help the transition that's inevitable.

Left back seems fine, injuries aside.
Look to get Sarachhi signed permanent would be excellent business.

CM, we have enough, please don't add any more til someone leaves. But when they do, we need a proper DM, then a proper number 10 (albeit I am liking Nygren in his recent roles).

Left wing, Tounekti and Jota to return is brilliant. Let's not * it up Celtic.
Right wing, could do with two!
It's an absolute joke how we've let that aide of the pitch deteriorate.

Striker, needs looked at as well, shaken up and almost start again. Kenny is playing very well and Osmand looks a great talent.
But do we have a truly out and out starting striker?
Is one of the two of them able to make that step, they're both far off it for me (although with truly explosive and dynamic wingers on both sides, a semi competent and developing striker would still excel in raw numbers).

Maeda you have to assume will be chapping the door to leave in January, sadly so. If we could convince him to stay for next season again, they it could solve the ST dilema above.
Ihaenacho I feel he's gonna be gone quick time now. Clearly a Rodgers signing of all Rodgers signings and you'd wonder if his heart will be in it, willing to take the continued (and needed) steps to keep improving his fitness and sharpness. And would the club even want to hold on to him with what I expect would be a heft wage? I'm one to normally insist we pay better wages, but there is more to the situation with him than just wages.

And goalkeeper, are we ready for Kasper to be dropped/not be here next season?

Taking the step to the next level, should we really have Bernardo, Ralston,Yang etc on our bench?

We need some crazy amount of spending starting in jan imo. I would put most focus on Jan and obviously also the summer but in the summer we need to ship alot of players out the door.

 

Those three, as much as I like all three and wish they was better, should be the ones making way to strengthen the squad.

Bernardo replaced by a proper DM
Yang replaced with a Kuhn/Jota level RW
Ralston, replaced at worst by CD if not better (depending on CD development).

Absolutely no point in signing 2 right wingera to then appoint a manger like Nancy who doesn't play a system with wingers.

What Rodgers and Tisdale had identified is now completely out the window unless we go and bring in a like for like manager.

The cynic in me says dragging out the manager search would suit the board as it would mean the would likely not spend in January with no permanent manager or 1 that's just in the door and hasn't had time to * the squad
