    That's a really tough run.

IMO we need to keep MON in place till January, looking at that. Give him the new year Derby and then sign off on that.

    Feeling more confident about it.

The player depth is shocking poor in quality
    No denying it.
But we are now at least seeing that the ones we do have are still capable of playing decent football and going for the wins.

Europe we will be schooled all campaign no doubt.

But the league as we stand, we should power on now.

The biggest advantage that we have over teams like Hearts is our fitness. We know how to play teams twice a week and can win throughout that period. The run up to Christmas is mental this year with no January break either, so I’d expect Hearts to start struggling once games ramp up to a couple a week.

I think we need to reel in Hearts quick as we can so we will be relying on them dropping points.

The gap is currently 9 with a game in hand, we have a League Cup final to come and that will probably be Hearts with 2 games in hand. We need to be first of all going on a 7/8 game winning run in the league and then hoping Hearts begin tripping up.

Don't think we can discount Rangers yet with the gap only at 5.

    Still put Hearts as favourites.

Squads will look completely different after January though so if we can get there within touching distance then that could change. The hun will no doubt strengthen as well. 2nd half of the season is far bigger than this half.

We also have a tough spell in December and early Jan where we look like we will definitely be without Tounekti, Balikwisha, CCV, Jota and AJ among others. We will face Rangers in that time.

Daizen could well be off in Jan as well so we have a lot of hurdles coming up.

I think it will largely depend on Hearts having a wobble and how soon that can happen.

We need to have a couple of right side wingers lines up for the first week in Jan.

Yang, Maeda, Shin/Kelechi probably out the door.

Need to go unbeaten for rest of season especially beating hearts in remaining 3 games against them to win league.

I really, really doubt this is right. I'm confident Hearts will drop enough points that we won't need to hit that kind of standard to win the league.

They are a good team, though, and we will need to go on some kind of winning run in order to catch them and we don't currently seem capable of that. A lot will depend on the January window and when we can get injured players back.

After tomorrow Hearts have the following run to the end of this year:

    Away to aberdeen
    Away to motherwell
    Home to killie
    Away to celtic
    Home to rangers
    Away to hibs
    Away to falkirk

That is about as tough as it gets in this league and I think they could quite easily drop 7-9 points in the next month alone.

That isnt to say celtic will win every game but I think Celtic and Hearts (and Rangers) will drop a ton of points this season. Whoever does win the league will be a record low points tally.

Still fancy us to do it

We need to start ticking games off and putting points on the board as if we do that until we play Hearts and beat them then it starts to put pressure one them especially if they drop anything before playing us.

It’s a big ask on us as we have such limited options particularly in the forward areas but we need to find a way starting tomorrow.

Whether it’s keep MON and Maloney or get the new boss in we need to find a system that works and start to show improvement game on game.

It’s going to be heavy close, whoever wins it this year. It’s between us and Hearts…they’ve been a lot better than we have undeniably.

Not really concerned about Hearts despite them doing really well at this point. Think they'll even out eventually and finish 3rd.

Hope you’re right but the way Celtic are playing just now not confident they will win the league.

As I said before. Hearts are in pole position, nine points ahead. They currently have a huge goal difference advantage too. It's theirs to either win or chuck away. We've got a fucken mountain to climb.
