Celtic Statement: Green Brigade Suspended from Celtic Park

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by Notorious, Nov 7, 2025 at 6:29 PM.

  1. Turning into * Sevco.

Weve actually devolved that far. Board releasing embittered statements chatting * whilst trying to hide their own culpability in this * show of a mess theyve created.

The amount of absolute * * they chat is just as bad as the sevco spivs did. Whats next ffs? Dallas Cowboys?

First European tax laws. Then their half assed delayed release of an empty fan survey. Now banning the GB for literally for standing up to a * jobsworth with the rabid cops itching for arrests.

    This board are * DISGUSTING.

Theyve also * up... Again. Do they they think the GB just wont turn up to games? Stay at home and watch eastenders? Theyve literally just made sure protests outside the stadium will intensify, and get more media coverage.

But the GB need to be careful. The cops will be looking for excuses to lift members outside grounds, public safety orders etc.

  2. Worse than that for me, they back their fans (well previous regimes before 49rs)

They were moon howlers, dillusional full of * but they talked to their support, reacted to what they wanted, were open with them and actually valued them. It resulted in crazy bastarding wild * from them but thats where it stemmed from.

Our board at their best just look down on the fans. At their worst actively resent and attack that support.

And thats the stage they’re at right now.

I know a season ticket holder, who left his seat went halfway down another stand well away from his seat, to shout get tae * and useless * at Lawwell and Nicholson. He got a letter a week later threatening a ban for him.

Think of the effort involved to find out who he even was to send a letter to the address on his season ticket. Because they got stick.

Nothing outrageous, not friendly but it was get tae * and useless *. That’s something that goes a long way to highlight what they are on a personal level. Proud, arrogant and petty. And think they are beyond questioning, and how dare the plebs disagree, we just aren’t smart enough to see theyre right arent we

Everything they do just makes them look even more incompetent. Don't even know how to hide a bad news story. If they wanted to ban The Green Brigade anyone else would have done it after we beat the DOBs. No the day after we have been ridden by a Danish team.

Wouldn’t be like Celtic to sit on something for a week

    They’ve got previous for that

If the board really believed what they are saying and doing about this "incident" they wouldn't have released a statement at 6pm on a * Friday about it. That's old school press release time when you want something buried. I'd be willing to bet if we had won on Thursday it would have been out soon after hoping the other supporters would be more sympathetic to the club's stance due to the goodwill from getting O'Neill in and a european win.

This is classic deflection tactics and giving the GB as little time as possible to respond. While I don't always agree with the GB this looks like complete BS from the board to protect their fragile little egos and sow dissent between the fan groups.

If they truly attacked someone, it would clearly be a lifetime ban no a few games. At it. Atleast we know the new manager timing now. 6 games to go :fear:

  8. Aye, and the statement released specifically says violence and aggression

  9. It’s a season of implosion, we beat ourselves up every week by the constant mismanagement of the club, when will the incompetence end CFC, stop the bus and engage with the support and let’s get the season back on track.

The board are in their death throes .....they know the jig is up and are lashing out in all directions. What better way to silence dissent than get rid of the perceived trouble makers and all their banners. Anyone with half a brain can see this.

It sounds like the board have gone to war with the fans. Why should a whole section of fans be banned for the actions of maybe one or two. The GB should pass all their banners etc to the guys in other sections. Make no mistake this is what this is all about. Money, power and arrogance. The board are literally trying to silence us the plebs who fill their pockets. It really is time for everyone else to step up and actually support the GB.

  12. Think they have made a very successful distraction to the a major issue and something that is nothing but corruption, the Celtic Trust Proxy voting not being able to be registered. For the Trust alone.

AGM coming up. And the clock ticking down for them being able to have the voting power registered in time for it.

So they have got us to talk about something else.

The statement released was ridiculous, I have no doubt if they want to find a reason that they can plausibly ban the GB while they were effectively in a probationary period they could find something. The language used in the statement though, smacks of hyperbole to stretch a reason into being unquestionable.

100 fans spontaneously collude to ‘rescue’ another fan is pretty unlikely in it’s own, 100 guys to clock a situation quickly, know what’s happening no confusion and all react to it like they said? Nah not for me that alone. And then they describe it as violence and aggression. Those 100, 2 police officers and a steward.

A week and a half afterwards not a whisper of 100 fans using violence against officers? Not one Police Scotland statement? A paltry 3 match ban for the offence they’re claiming?

Nah. They’re treating us with nothing but contempt, they think we’re like cattle.

Love to see the body cam footage from the cops and surely someone in the concourse would of been filming some of it.

We are just a * mess and it’s all stemming from the top.

  14. Footage thats been released has been released by Celtic, apparently our cameras must not be working in the concourse so everyone can see that they’re being honest

    Footage that shows

    Folk going down the stairs

Walking to the front of the concourse

    A few folk waving hands

All in a 3 minute video

Aye seen that, funny that assaulting 2 people didn’t end in an arrest or appeal for information after the game. That ex pig that’s holding authority over our fans needs chased tae *.

  18. Nice of Police Scotland to not even release a statement about it, and leaving it to the clubs 3 match ban being a significantly harsh enough disciplinary action

Post from MacBhoy one of the Green Brigade

One of our lads - not a young boy or ned...-was returning to the stand at half time with a cup of water in each hand.

Generally speaking most stewards, particularly at that area, are familiar with our lads given we regularly move throughout the area at various times for different reasons as well as regularly speaking with supervisors and/or SLOs. For whatever reason with that incident the steward attempted to stop him entering the stand by physically grabbing him.

This drew the attention of the cops who immediately escalated the incident by also physically apprehending him and attempting to cuff him. We actually have photo and video evidence of this which shows who the aggressors are by pinning him against a wall.

Naturally, once others learned about the incident they rushed out - which is all the video from Celtic shows. The fact they have shared this suggests they are desperately trying to paint a picture because they have nothing of actual substance. There was a game of tug of war with our lad being held by police and he was freed. That much is true, we always have and always will attempt to protect our members from police aggression.

The female polis involved, who was one of the aggressors, seemed totally out her depth with how to handle the situation. I believe she hit a panic button which led to more cops arriving by which point the incident was over anyway bar perhaps some abuse being directed there way.

The incident itself was something over nothing, totally avoidable, but the whole security operation in that area, and the environment it creates, meant that it was bound to happen. This is something we have repeatedly been warning and pleading with the club over all season and been totally ignored.

We have had one meeting about this, we sent a lengthy email about it and we have given feedback to the SLOs and steward supervisor at and following every match.

If ever we have concerns at a match we immediately raise them. We then always debrief with the SLOs following the match. I am one of the people responsible for this so I am generally well aware of what is happening plus I know the entire history of relationships and incidents like the back of my hand.

There was an agreement a couple years back with the club (and the club with police scotland) that there would be no police on our concourse because of the terrible relationship that exists. The agreement followed the effective and selective use of "Pig Watch" on twitter which led to their realisation it was in everyone's interest for them to take a step back. That agreement seems to have gone out the window this season with the introduction of Mark Hargreaves.

Again, in respect of our attempts at dialogue with the club to resolve concerns over security/policing, we have refrained from using "Pig Watch" this season despite them being present every match. The dialogue has obviously completely failed, the police presence has increased and it has led to this total stitch-up.

When the club banned us in 2023 they attempted to scapegoat me with multiple allegations - I threatened staff, I broke into the stadium, I support(ed) proscribed terrorist organisations. None of them stood up and the club folded on its attempts to ban me beyond the collective ban of the time. Crucially, there was also no charges raised despite three allegations of unlawful behaviour.

This is a very similar situation where they are attempting to lock-out a particular sentiment (anti-board) and will cynically dress it up as something else in an attempt to win over opinion.

As usual, time will vindicate us but by then the damage is already done.
