CB first choice a must? Its litterly our only strong position. Thats the one position we dont need to touch. Is it just habbit folk say that since they've said it for years? CCV isnt dead, he'll be back. Meanwhile we've 2 very good CBs playing. Most likely a qaulity loan from city aswel.

The rest of your lists fine.

Right now we have Scales and Trusty then Murray and Pussey, CCV is out a while. We need someone that is capable of being a starter, also builds to any succession planning that may be needed come summer

Think we need a first choice centre back too. CCV is out for lengthy periods too often sadly.

We have a budget, it needs spent on attack. This january we can do without a cb. Plenty cover as you've just shown. When 1 leaves then so be it.

For me 4 players would be an absolute minimum.

    1. Right side centre back
    2. Box to Box centre midfielder
    3. Right winger
    4. striker

If Maeda moves on we need another versatile forward especially if Osmand is out long term.

The above also assumes Johnston is fit again.

On the discussion about centre backs we have Murray as third choice and JSP as 4th one has played a few games and had an absolute bombscare and the other hasn’t been deemed good enough to even make squads. Trusty would have also been gone in the summer if not for a foot injury.

Centre midfield sell Hatate as his heads away and bring someone in his place.

The other two is self explanatory we don’t have any options there. Sell Yang and loan out Shin.

Absolutely if we can only have attack or defense we should be getting attack, but we don't have depth at at CB now, Murray needs experience before he's ready for us as shown with the mistakes he's had. JSP has not made a team yet, so there's clearly a lack there, same with Innamura, he's no been trusted to play and he's been marked more as a left back than a CB.

We should have more than enough to go for multiple areas that we need to improve on, especially if we've a new manger in. But you never know with this board

The squad needs a complete overhaul but the resources aren't being provided by the board in 3 aspects:

    a) Transfer fees
    b) Wages
    c) Recruitment personnel

The board need to give the manager or recruitment team an adequate budget and let them off with it and not interfere.

I think we need to invest around 30m in the squad now and whatever comes in should be added to that. It will never happen in a million years but it is what should happen. The money is there to make it happen but the appetite does not exist at the hierarchy. Instead we will miss out on targets and haggle and haggle and haggle rather than get deals done swiftly.

One thing that was depressing last night against Midtjylland last night was the quality they were introducing off the bench. Like for like replacements, players who made an impact and didn't weaken them. All young, all well scouted and suited to the style of team. That's a club who never stops trying to better itself. We have a board who likes to get into power battles with the manager and cut the legs from under him to prove a point.

We need to have a team that can at least compete at EL level, recruiting a champions league level team took a few years.

We need 4 players in January, we needed four when Ange was here in his first season and signed four, 3 worked out.

We didn’t sign anywhere near what we did in the summer there so we need to sort that out.

If we don’t we are going into a summer needing near enough full new team.

    - Schmeichel will be finished and even if Sinisalo gets the nod we need a new no.2, - Johnston if he can get fit will be looking to go,
    - will CCV ever actually be injury free?,
    - Sarrachi is only on loan,
    - Iheanacho, I am not sure we will take his second year,
    - Engels will be down to 2 years left and if we don’t want to take a massive loss on him will probably look to sell.
    - If Bernardo continues to not get a game he will be off
    - McGregor will be another year older
    - JSP will be away.

We won't get what I think we need.

And this time I'm definitely not getting drawn into getting my hopes up!

A big issue is that Europe group games are in late January now . Getting players in early will be difficult if the club Is in Europe.
