McKenna is literally that. Although not “hoofball”, he changes it up often and is excellent against a low block or a high press.

Nobody said Rodgers was THE problem, he definitely was a problem. He'd checked out and wasn't getting the best out of the current squad.

Lawwell would love Pressley purely for his dedication to wearing club gear at every opportunity.

Yes, that's why he left. What some are saying now is we don't want a manager like Rodgers, that played out from the back, that is Irish etc. Rodgers is gone, if we get a manager as successful as he was and who had the ambition he had for the club's potential we'll be doing well.

THE problem is Lawwell and the board and their lack of ambition and drive.

Nobody is saying don't get an Irish manager.

I think people are against playing from the back, it's the lack of shaking things up. If a manager is as stubborn as him, there is a issue. Every game we went against the huns, they twigged how to beat us and we haven't beaten them in 90 minutes in over a year. Sunday was the first decent performance against them in ages.

There can be more than one problem.

McKenna has been in the press for his pragmatism to be fair.

Literally as of yesterday. His normal formation/tactics hadn't been working then he changed it for the Derby against Norwich to play an out and out no10 and it worked.

Seemingly a big reason why they've struggled so far is that they're no longer the underdog in that division, they're favourites for going up again, so teams are sitting in more than the first time around. He's having to adapt.

If we could get the Club Brugge manager in the summer then yes * please.

Don't care if it would just be for 2 or 3 years max. The team he would build and the stye of football would be brilliant.

    I'd "take" McKenna or Nancy.

    I WANT Hayen or Knutsen.

Doesn't matter really. If they are dogshit theyll get binned, and we'll rage against a board who is incompetent and couldnt spot his weaknesses.

If theyre great, we're a stepping stone to the EPL dream, and we'll rage against a board that refused to back them in the market after the first two windows.

    Round and round we go.

Until we have ambitious men with vision steering our club, we're stuck on this merry-go-round.

Just can’t get enough Depeche mode
If we can’t get Hayen or Knutsen in the next two months then i’d be happy to have MON until the end of the season.

I think it will be Nicky Hayen. He's refusing to kill all the speculation and buzz about his position.

And he's dropping words like " Not Yet ".

I would rather a continental manager, Knutsen my first pick, then the fella Nicky Hayen.

I'd rather we stay away from English based managers just now.

I know that sounds daft given our success with Rodgers, and 25 years before that with MON coming from English football.

I just feel like we have the advantage of European experience very similar to our situation as a club if we go with Knutsen or Hayen. And also tapping in to the European market.

My fear with McKenna and guys who ply their trade in England is that it's the most inflated * market on the planet. Also, we wouldn't be able to attract a guy from English fitba who already has that European experience.

Are we we any closer to a manager? Every time I open Instagram we're linked with someone new.. today it was Efraín Juárez, remember him ha..

My choice now is Keep MON if hes willing till end of season then throw the kitchen sink at the Brugge manager.. We have till end of season to get a structure in place for him then go all out for him... although id say he will have a choice of clubs soon, some team

PS SACK EVERY * ON THE BOARD TOO..

Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna is “very interested” in the vacant managerial role at Celtic, sources have told Football Insider.

McKenna has been linked with Celtic since the abrupt departure of Brendan Rodgers last week and the arrival of Martin O’Neill as his interim replacement.

Sources have said that the former Man United assistant manager is becoming increasingly unsettled at Portman Road.

Ipswich’s 1-1 draw with Watford on Tuesday (4 November) leaves them 10th in the Championship, despite being expected to challenge for promotion at the start of the campaign.

Sources say that McKenna is suddenly being questioned by the club’s hierarchy, adding to the rumours of a shock move to Scotland.

Martin O’Neill has taken over at Parkhead on a temporary basis following Brendan Rodgers’ dramatic resignation last month.

Sources say O’Neill is increasingly likely to be offered the job until the end of the season, after a brilliant start to life back at the Hoops
