    * right off with this.

If it were the English talking like this we’d be criticising them for being arrogant.

We haven’t earned the right to call a team like Midtjylland diddies.

The good thing about having MON here for this is that he has always been very pragmatic with his set up in Europe in the past.
His style is definitely more suited than BR or Ange’s rigid possession based approach when we come up against the better teams.

True enough... And there are those that will point to and say, look at the players he had, but not always the case. When you have Bobo or Mjallby etc, it seems much more of a fair fight but on the other hand can never forget that Barcelona game at the Neu Camp, where it was the likes of Marshall, Kennedy and McNamara etc were unbelievable.

Didn't realise these didies were top of the europa. Ffs typical. Beat them and everyone else is even more of a diddy so should go on comfortably to lift the trophy. :fear:

They are a extremely ( ! ) good side at set pieces. Ridiculously good at them.

Buzzing for this. All my favourite memories are of watching Martin O'Neill managing Celtic in Europe, can't believe that I get to do it again all these years later.

Good chance I'll be greeting regardless of the result.

Most I’ve been looking forward to a European game this season at least.

With Tounekti and Daizen we have a real threat on the break. MON won't be afraid to sit back and hit it long to them when we have the chance. That gives me a bit more confidence we could nick it.

    I reckon 1-1.

Got the good feeling myself which is funny considering they have lost only 1 game in 27.

Would really love a convincing win. Like a 2-1 but they only steal a late goal from some silly error during an 89th minute corner but otherwise we had full control of the game.

Reality is it will likely be an Atalanta type game and be 0-0.

Just hope we get a win, because if we could, then * Falkirk, * the huns, this result could be the real winning result that totally flips the season

If this was 2002 or something I'd agree, but Scandinavian teams put Celtic & the rest of the Scottish league to shame with how well their teams are ran, their ambition in Europe, their financial nous, and their smarter scouting/progressive coaching.

They've all evolved and we haven't.

    We're absolute dinosaurs in comparison.

sick of fans calling this a "free hit" or "not bothered about europe".

This is just about our level for the forseeable future, people throwing their toys out the pram still because its not the CL. We are not a CL side and cant see us being a competitive one for a year or two at least.

In saying that they are a well run club and will probably overrun us like they did with Forest.

Funny how a few years ago we would be burying these teams but they have evolved their whole infrastructures and become modern day teams that are way better ran than ours
