Not his best game on Sunday but still a decent shift. Won about 5 comers himself. And none of them could really get the ball of him. Hes got that expectation now if he doesn’t score or assist he’s not had a good game. His crossing is pretty 50/50 so needs a bit of work but has created plenty in games and they’ve just not been finished.

Jota never scored or assisted that much when settling in. Hopefully he'll develop just like him. If so, we'll end up with the strongest left wing in my life :56:

I do think he has to show more end product. We've been built around high end product wingers such as Jota, Kuhn, Maeda and even Palma to an extent.

Not sure Maeda would fall into that category. He took a while to get going for us and is a very different type of player to the others, including Seb.

Tounekti's dribbling and threat is enough to create space and chances for others as he's now getting doubled up on, even if he isn't adding to his goals/assists he's a key player for us. Hopefully he can add that final bit to his game still though.

    It's a funny one.

Maeda's final ball and finishing are huge issues but if you look at his end product statistically it's brilliant. He's here close to 4 years now in January and he must be well north of 50 G/A in that time. His movement, anticipation and decision making are probably key to having that so high up.

For me where Tounekti goes down is probably not so much his end product in simple terms. It's not as if he keeps getting into great positions and missing chances or his final ball keeps being poor. It's probably his decision making, it's probably his lack of anticipation in getting on the end of things. He tends to not release the ball earlier when he should. Hopefully it will improve as it's very difficult to carry an out of form team.
