Those are the two I don't get TBH: Trusty and Engels.

I actually think I understand his difficulty solving the problems at RW and both FB positions and I don't think they're as simple as folk make out; but Trusty is is multiple levels above Murray and Engels is one of our best players, you have to play them.

In general, I'm reluctant to criticise Rodgers as I think he was put in a difficult situation; but I can't understand or defend those two choices.

His decision not to give Osmand a chance is looking shaky too, although it's early still.

    Im still not sure.

Hearts are not appearing like a side that is going to go on a sustained losing run. And they'll strengthen in January.

We have a seriously difficult run coming up to January with a squad that is thin in attacking options and even defensively if another couple injuries occur. If we can even still be 3-6 points behind by January I'd take that right now tbh.

The managerial position being up in the air doesn't help my thoughts either.

Osmand looks at least good enough to have had a look at. He’s also stated the staff all have confidence in him, all the same staff that were there under Rodgers apart from Fotheringham.

He’s a * for leaving Osmand and Shin out the European squad and leaving us short on Thursday without a guy that’ll be brimming with confidence, another example of him being the issue which is becoming more apparent the more time goes on. Albeit we all know the main role the board have played.

I think it's going to be very tight. They still have a six point advantage and are scoring goals freely, and they have strength in depth. They will definitely strengthen in January under Bloom, but so will we.

I expect the Huns to pick up a bit under Rohl too. Rodgers left us a mountain to climb.

January is ridiculously huge for us and Hearts. They'll go all out if they see a chance.

If we are beaten to the league by Hearts then even the biggest board apologist has to admit it's an absolute shambles.

I was 75/25 that we were going to lose it; now that's reversed and I'm very confident we'll get the job done.

If we can win our next 5 League Games it will be massive..

    Killie - H
    St. Mirren - A
    Hibs - A
    Dundee - H
    Hearts - H

We do that, then we'll be very well set.. tough, but we're definitely capable.

The fact they went out the league cup early and have no Europe is big for them. It means it’s one game a week and they actually have some decent squad depth at least in attacking areas.

Let’s see where we are come Sunday night then by the time we face them next on the 7th of December. As things stand I would probably take still being 9 points behind going into that one with a game in hand. As we have some tough away league games before that one.

They also have a run after that against Rangers, Hibs and Motherwell away so if we could beat them then it would but a tough fixture list for them.

It is early but I wouldn’t want to be falling much further behind. Especially given by mid December we will have two games in hand and could be a lot of points back if we drop anything or fail to beat them.

I think we have a much better chance now that Rodgers is gone.

For me it’s all going to depend on the January transfer window and if MON is going to be around longer than this season.

There is no doubt about it our squad is thread bare, and we need various players in various positions.

We need to address a centre half coming in, send the Man City kid back, CCV is out for a while and we need someone better than Murray.

We need a holding type player, who can break up play as the defensive CDM with a bit of pace.

Two wingers is a must for me or another CAM type and let’s not forgot a Forward.

Are we going to get all that? Can’t see it the board are a * shambles and we will end up with pointless loans.

Glad I held off voting on this one. At the time it was posted things were looking extremely grim, but I had a feeling change was coming although I didn't expect it so soon or to be quite as dramatic.

There's still the issue of whether Hearts can keep up their current form. I'd lean towards no, they'll have a shaky spell at some point...but you never know.

But at this point, with the change in management and sudden, vast improvement on the pitch, I'm gonna stick my vote in now.

Celtic for the title. And the Treble.

    * the huns.

    Still sticking with yes..

After the break Hearts have a tough run and I think they will drop points. While we bemoan our squad depth we should still be able to rotate more than the teams we are playing in a busy December. And we just have a bit of momentum going again.

We also have Hearts and Rangers twice at celtic park to come. Hearts have hibs twice at Easter road. Plenty of time for us to catch up.

If we were 9 points off the huns, id be skeptical and think its too little, too late.

It's not the huns though, its the diets.

With Rodgers i wasn't confident, im a lot more now, albeit I dont think Hearts will drop off as quickly as some are thinking.

Still not in the slightest bit panicked about this.

Between now and end of the year Hearts have 9 games, 5 are away from home including! Motherwell, Aberdeen, us, and Hibs. They also have home games against Dundee utd, st Mirren and the Huns. Of the 27 points to play for id be very surprised if they even get 20.
Still maintain we will be top by new year and we'll look back and laugh at the fact we were worrying about * hearts

Yes, once Hearts lose once they'll lose about 8 times.

    Still a no from me.

Great couple of results from MoN. But people are underestimating how much work this squad needs.
Severe lack of depth. A few players working their ticket. And if we're being honest, new manager bounce usually doesnt last.

If we add another new manager into the mix at in December, that another new system that a poor squad has to adapt to.

There just isnt enough time to salvage the title im afraid.

    Ok, as devil's advocate...

People said that the overhaul Ange needed to do was "too much" as well...

As for the new manager bounce, that only applies to the smaller teams, because with us (or even the Huns) it's always all about momentum... If we put a few results together on the bounce our players get their tails up and out opponents put their heads down... Raw data leans to the fact we're in the cup final and expected to win it, have scored 7 in our last 2 matches and have a few players who didn't play/perform this season who are now contributing...

And sorry, I'm not in the slightest inclined to chuck a season that's not even 25% complete yet in the bin... Hearts WILL have a wobble at some point, even full strength Celtic did/does... We absolutely CAN beat them for all the remaining matches head to head... Very defeatist to say it's unfixable
