I think our goal difference was worse that season too.

I think people forget how * the opposition was and we could be * and win the league. The Huns were * dreadful and pretty * the following season too. I'd actually say Rodgers winning the last two seasons were better achievements.

This was the main reason people were not sure about having him back, we knew it would turn turgid eventually.

A young manager who was a good footballing name. Plays possession football, something our board seem to love. What makes you think we didn't?

Mulgrew pitching for us to go for Klopp, that would work!

Will Still was no good for Southampton so absolutely no way he’s good enough for Celtic.

Daniel O’Donnell would be a better should that some of these names served up.

Some of these names are giving me the absolute fear.

    Like proper anxiety.

    Van Bommel...

    Will Still...

    Muscat...

    Lee Carsley ...

I understand its not as simple as we think to lure a manager , But * me. If we hadn't approached Rodgers two year ago you'd * bet we'd be approaching him now.

*, we might. MoN for the rest of the season. Then Rodgers and Desmond hold talks. Misunderstandings, poor communication, all that *.

It has to be Hayen or Knutsen. Theyre the only two candidates linked with something about them. And i even have reservations about them.

I would have been okay with Will Still until the Southampton job to be honest. Apparently he's too stubborn with his tactics and we have all had enough of managers being that way inclined.

The beautiful thing is we don't need to rush and make a decision. Mon and Maloney are doing a decent job at the moment. These may be the managers that are available now and if we don't like them we can take our time. We are actually in quite a strong position. Although, I wasn't sure about Mon and Maloney to begin with its actually a very intelligent move.

Not sure about having too much time - the minute we lose a game or 2 the knives will be out and the panic begins.

I do think we should be patient and wait for the right guy though - assuming Dec/Jan or similar.

Any actual update from the MIA club CEO and chairman on a process or even that we are looking?

Knutsen has proven that he can motivate a squad made up of 95% Norwegians to high heights, same as Ronny did at Stromsgodset, however, how many Norwegian managers step out of Scandinavia and prove themselves as a success?

Just looked at a list of Norway managers who managed outside of Scandinavia over the years, not one top coach/manager amongst them

In fairness Deila never took Stromsgodset to a European semi final, or into the Champions League. I'm not 100% sold on him either but to be able to do what they did in the EL last year with their resources can only bode well given that our expectations as a club should be to make a real mark on that competition if we don't make the CL

Again, he motivated a squad of 95% Norwegians to do that, will he be able to motivate a squad with no Norwegians to do similar, will his speeches etc translate well to foreign players, on the evidence of every Norwegian manager who has stepped outside Scandinavia, answer is no

Knutsen is a great manager as we seen when he schooled us and theres obviously a reason why there was rumoured interest from Ajax.

Not sure why you would debate that tbh
