First off I say the following as someone who has had the chance to see and spend time with Neil Lennon up close and that he could not have been more generous with his time and the access he gave me personally. On top of that there is the unquestionably courage he showed both as a player and as manager of Celtic in the face of extreme violence and threats. He is someone who has done so much for our club.
But there is absolutely no defending Neil Lennon's behaviour yesterday. His attacks on Rodgers are a disgrace and he should be ashamed of himself. Chris Sutton is absolutely right certainly Brendan Rodgers is not blameless for the abject state we are currently in but equally there is zero question that the vast majority of the blame for where we are presently lies with Nicholson, Lawwell, McKay and Desmond and they are the ones that need to go for Celtic to have a positive future. I am disgusted with Lennon's behaviour yesterday, utterly shameful.

This guy was shafted by the board he's defending. So sad.

That is so very true. He is defending the very people who dismantled the first team he built right out from under him.

Fair assessment.. what strikes me is I've listened to Lennon over the past month or so and his comments remind of his comments when he managed the team in the covid season. They aren't reality. What he said about the teams performance yesterday 90 percent of people were saying it for a while (some stretching back before this season even started) but he should have been seeing/highlighting the ineptitude of the teams performance well before hearts yesterday..

He clearly knew about the hatchet job coming for Rodgers. Never said a word against the guy in years then all of a sudden it's all Rodgers' fault? Heard he was for the chop and wanted to ride his coattails for a second time.

I actually enjoyed him on commentary for the Sturm Graz game but on Sky since as an in studio pundit and on Sunday he has been acting the clown and letting personal vendettas come out against the likes of Sutton.

I am sick of the sight of him doing punditry for our games. I think he actually looked a bit annoyed after the game yesterday because we'd won and MON was getting plaudits from the pundits there. He's just a *.

    A bad person.

Mind he openly and voluntarily dedicated the treble against Hearts on penalties behind closed doors to Desmond and Lawwell as opposed to the supporters who made him a multi millionaire and idolised him in the most turbulent period in his life?

He’s done absolutely nothing to redeem himself after disrespecting our supporters and confirming himself as an unprofessional jakeball when he was last in charge, yet here he is back in the limelight firing shots at anyone and anything that dares question the regime that runs the club.

    Genuinely despise the *.

He was some player as well. Below average manager, but a cracking footballer.

The thing that sums up Lennon more than most for me is the fact that he was quite willing to throw Alan Thompson under the bus to save his own skin when he was Celtic manager.

    He's an arrogant, self-serving clown.

Pandering to the huns with the decisions at the weekend, if he was manager he would of been * livid with the penalty and no red for Cornelius. Just sat there taking the soup.

The fact he went from being targeted for assassination to being liked by them tell you everything you need to know about him.

A traitor the way he is behaving

Surely he's allowed to have opinions that don't necessarily side with us?

For what it's worth I think Cornelius one was borderline and I thought Trusty was lucky to stay on the park.

I think the penalty is harsh but I've heard explanations over it that makes me atleast understand the decision as much as I disagree with it.

I don't think having opinions either way on these decisions is blasphemy
