Reo Hatate

McCowan should be getting his minutes now, get him to * in January if there’s any serious interest in him whilst he might still have some value.

 

He's a player who will look amazing when we are on top of games. Doesn't seem the same player when its a proper scrap or we are struggling.

At the stage now he cannot be trusted in big games which is a huge shame.

 

Happy to cash in come January and replace.

 

As it stands we won't get much for him.

But I just want the lazy * out the joint as fast as possible, and his position given to a more deserving all action player.

 

Only player still being hopeless. Needs put in the reserves and replaced by youth.

He’s always been a bit Jekyll & Hyde like with his performances, and I suppose aptly enough for that comparison we’re increasingly seeing more Hyde than Jekyll, but he’s not doing himself any favours at this point.

If he wants a change of scenery, that’s fair enough, but I’m genuinely curious who he thinks is going to be interested on current form. He’s not exactly selling himself to any potential suitors at the moment, and for a guy that’s supposedly wanting to be involved in Japan’s World Cup squad as well, he’s not particularly doing a great job of manifesting that either.

While I think he’s probably for the off sooner rather than later, in the interim, he needs to give his a head shake. He has talent, so just focus on the here and now and just keep things simple and direct.

 

I think we'd still get about £7m for him.

I honestly don't know if it's purely he's not trying or if he's actually * after that shocking tackle against Aberdeen that kept him out the final, he's never looked the same after that.

I suspect it's the former but it could be a bit of both, it's hard to tell for sure, but as it stands he's nowhere near the player he was and shouldn't be getting game time until he either gets fit or gets his head together.

 

You would think there is a good chance we end up selling both Hatate and Maeda in January. No question when it comes to Hahate his form overall this season has been a disappointment. Will be interesting to see if there is any positive reaction from him in coming games to having been dropped to the bench for the past 2 games. Will tell a lot how he reacts I think in terms of whether he has a future at Celtic or not.

 

Anyone else thinking aw ffs when he’s coming in yesterday thinking he will be gifting them the ball at every opportunity. Stark contrast to what I used to think about him, was the best player in the league at one point.

Tbf he wasn’t as bad as I thought he would be when he came on yesterday. Wasn’t great right enough.

 

Compare Engels, Maeda, McGregor and any other player that had been called into question the last few weeks whether it was in terms of ability or work rate and see how they've responded to MON coming in vs Hatate. Night and day.

The guy wants out and we're only shooting ourselves in the football by keeping him playing instead of Bernardo/McCowan.

 

Rewatched the game and seen his reaction or lack thereoff when Cal scored.

A player who has not improved in his time here unfortunately . When he first started you could see he had huge potential being a relatively raw professional footballer. I've been waiting too long to see him cut out the lapses in concentration, the poor technique in goal-scoring situations and add some bite and aggression to his game that would have taken him to a high level. Don't think it's ever going to happen now. Would sell

 

Think it was in Rodgers first season back when Reo was injured and we played *. As soon as he came back we improved massively and started to play good football. We really lacked his creativity. He has been mince for a while now, but he definitely is not a player that only looks good when the team place well as he has carried the team a couple of times in the past.

No idea how he can get his mojo back, sadly.

 

Had some brilliant moments and games but those times for him seem over. I don't think we will get a decent price for him anymore either tbh. Perhaps in the English championship we will see £3m-£5m.

 

That's what I think too.

I doubt we will get anywhere near £7M for him. His value has plummeted and he's not trying a leg anymore.
