Extra little list. Top 10 players trophy haul with Celtic FIRST TEAM.
It's for trophy haul but this will include all first team competitions including Glasgow Cup up until 1988/89 season where that competition stopped being for first team. It includes ALL FIRST TEAM competitions they entered throughout the clubs history.
Current list as of 19/05/2025 with trophies in brackets and current players in bold

    1) Jimmy McMenemy (37)
    2) Alec McNair (35)
    3) Billy McNeill (29)
    4) James Forrest (26)
    5) Bobby Lennox (25)
    =8) Callum McGregor (24)
    =8) Jimmy Johnstone (24)
    =8) Bobby Murdoch (24)
    9) Scott Brown (22)
    =12) Jim Young (1903) (21)
    =12) Tommy Gemmell (21)
    =12) Joe Dodds (21)

Win the treble this season and CalMac will move to = 5th, level with Bobby Lennox and Forrest will be in 4th, 2 trophies short of Cesar's total.

Assuming we get to next season’s Scottish Cup final and Scottish League Cup final and same round of Champions League and Forrest and CalMac play in all they would be in 12th and 13th positions in the list.
That would be 59 games played:
    38 league
    5 SLC
    4 SC
    12 CL
Although I would rather they played in 66 games without replays as that would mean they got to CL final

Even if KT manages to play all season in every match he will not join the top 100 list until next season unless we get to every final in all 4 competitions. It will also take KT until end of 2031/32 season at least to get on to top 10 list.
Will take Forrest and CalMac until halfway through next season at least before they can join top 10 list.

@Drakhan Was today Scales #100th game?

Transfermarkt has him sitting on 98 before today.

There was press done with Scales through the week but no mention of it being his 100th in any of those either, so just wanted to check.

Also today was Yamada's official debut.

Forrest will be 12th place for rest of season at best but 13th at worst if CalMac overtakes him.

8 more games and CalMac will overtake Greatest ever Celt, the late Great Jimmy Johnstone and move into 13th on list just 1 place behind Forrest assuming Forrest keeps getting picked.

By all first team, does the trophy pre-season this year or * like Wembley Cup under Mowbray count?

KT has a lot less games than it feels like. Taylor has a lot more, and it makes sense but doesn’t feel that’s right that.

edit: I know it is right btw, not questioning that just surprising

EDIT 2: Broony doing that in modern football and the demands on the body, having signed at 22? 23? That’s such a massive achievement

Currently Forrest needs a further 69 games and CalMac needs a further 78 games to get in to top 10.
To overtake Broony, Forrest needs 88 games and CalMac needs 97 more games.
That means they both need to play almost every game for this seasons and next season.

If he had stayed with us he would be somewhere between 15th and 25th on the list

Assuming CalMac plays next 2 matches he will draw level with Greatest ever Celt Jimmy Johnstone on the list against Red Star Belgrade.
Hope we have same 5-1 scoreline that happened when Jinky played against them scoring 2

Just checked and if KT manages to play every game for rest of 2025 he could possibly play his 200 th Celtic match against the Huns at Celtic park in the new year league match.

If KT keeps getting picked it's possible that he will play his 200th Celtic match against the huns in New Years game at Celtic Park or at the away EL match against Bologna.
Cal Mac could play his 550 match also against the huns and Forrest could play his 550th match against Dundee also at Celtic Park.
