Murray over Trusty in Edinburgh, even without hindsight, smacks of self-sabotage so as pie in the sky as it sounds the evidence is there.

Today showed him up for self sabotaging us whilst in a huff and battle with those above. Zero doubt in my mind what he was doing..

We also wouldn't have won today if he was still here..

He’s in the market for a Civic and wanted to see one in action.

I think the recent games have shown there was definitely a tactical staleness around the team that Rodgers was largely unwilling to address. And that while our squad is still well short of the quality it should be, there was definitely more in them than we were seeing week in, week out.

There is still a lack of genuine quality in the final third, especially in terms of being clinical in front of goal. It feels like we need 4 good chances to convert one.

But we are certainly getting the ball forward and being more direct which is creating a lot more chances so I think Rodgers has to be culpable in many of the abject toothless displays we have seen - the Kairat games especially.

History kind of repeating itself no?
Always seems to be great for like 2 years before imploding.
Plus also being a stubborn *... his legacy with Celtic is a weird one.
Lots of trophies and all but jumping ship to the EPL first time around mid season and self sabotaging the second time... self righteous *.

The players in the past two games seem to be playing as if a weight has been lifted from their shoulders and are again enjoying having the creative freedom that they didn't have under Rodgers, if he was still in charge today there was no hope of us winning against Sevco, his next club will no doubt end up being the same, great for 2 years and then the third season will implode.

He was self sabotaging in his 1st spell too. The summer before he left.

The past 2 games don’t show him in a good light at all. Definitely makes you wonder about some of his team selections.

The way this weeks panned out you do start to wonder if everything Desmond said about him was true.

Not siding with the board at all, they’re to blame for the start to the season as well.

Rodgers let the negativity impact the team though which is a failure on his part and his unwillingness to change personnel and formation all added to a toxic ending.

He sidelined players just to prove a point, I do believe that now.

The summer before the aek Athens game did we have a terrible transfer window then aswell ?
I think we went into it with a weak line up if I remember right and I think boyata refused to play in the game after a good world cup as he was refused a transfer in the summer.

So it seems the clubs board sabotage us and then Rodgers then also sabotages us by losing interest.

Boards ultimately to blame for me but Rodgers could definitely of handled things better, I think reading between the lines he just felt hung out to dry and was gutted, couldn't face working for them anymore.

It was right he resigned, maybe he should have done it in the transfer window though

I don't think everything he said was true. I mean the bit about reinvesting every penny etc. And I don't believe that Rodgers didn't raise concerns about the state of the squad either.

However Rodgers has definitely been playing funny buggers just because he didn't get what he wanted. Which, aye, fair, be angry. We all were and I still am at how that summer went. But ultimately he had a duty to us and the players and it seems now that he had checked out.

I still don't blame him really as that's him had it over two spells now. It was right that he went, thank him for all the success he brought us and the fact he resigned may have saved out season still.

I think it's quite telling that in Engel's post match interview he was asked about O'Neill coming in and said:

Everyone has a good feeling about the management now...

I think Osmand hinted at it too in his interview, when he said when the manager believes in you, as Mon does in me, then it makes all the difference.

I just can't shake the feeling that Rodgers was a poison in the club in the last three months.

Seems to be the case every club hes at. Liverpool and Leicester fans still despise him.

None of this positive play and change in system has actually benefited us mind, we'd be better off if he was still here, getting a proper result against the huns for the first time in a year is all part of the anti-brendan hoax. :56:
