The fact he's played well under a different setup and manager doesn't exactly change how he was looking 2~ weeks ago..

Exposes how player destroying Rodgers system was for the last 12 months.

Looks a completely different player when deployed to his strengths.

Trusty, Scales and Schmeichel were all very happy to go long today when the option wasn't there and in Kenny we have a great outball up front to work off going direct.

He controlled the tempo of the game first half and he got back into the game AET, though struggled to adapt to the change in formation which ultimately allowed them back into the game.

    He was great today.

However Chermiti didn't bother his * to try and stop him playing. Which I think was the job he was asked to do.

When he has that freedom he can still make us tick. Still maintain he needs to play less and we need to bring in some help in January, though.

Even thouugh he's battered 2 maybe more in from outside the box, my favourite is still that one at Hampden he just passed into the net in near enough slow motion. Was like a bowling ball rolling on a carpet :56:

I think us just chipping it over the top all the time or pinging it down mostly the left wing to Tounetki from Ralston, Trusty and Scales meant they couldn't really mark McGregor or do anything to block him as we never cared and were just playing random football.

Usually we only pass the ball 10-20 yards and on the floor and 90% of the time to the closest player to us and teams knew it and just let us while blocking players off. But when the ball is being booted about everywhere and guys are running forward then you can't really do anything.

Aye, that one is a favourite of mine too. It lives rent free in my head.

Aye that’s the point it doesn’t, he wasn’t looking done or finished two weeks ago, he was looking hung out to dry in a system he was expected to do everything with no support and no freedom in position.

    And it was extremely obvious.

But a load of * opted for him being past it and not that.

Honestly I think the red card saved Rohl yesterday.

His tactics were rotten and we opened them up for fun. He was up against a Celtic team missing our two best defenders otherwise they wouldn’t have had a sniff.

And to top it all off, he somehow neglected to put someone on McGregor, which is something almost every team does.

I think the critisism of him this season has been justified. I never thought he was 'finished' or anything like that or even wanted him dropped but he's massivly lacked the bite and hunger this season regardless of the tactical instructions of the previous manager.
But my * how good is it to have him back like that. He was brilliant yesterday. Even when we were under the cosh for a fair bit of the second half he was trying to rally everyone and trying to close down. Brilliant
