He went through a run of a few months where he was really poor about 2 seasons ago. His distribution was really letting him down and he was slowing the play terribly. Teams would just sit off him and let him dawdle on it.

His distribution still isn’t great but he fixed that issue. Other than that he’s been quality. His defending of our box is incredible really. So so reliable. And he’s our biggest goal threat at corners and set pieces.

Last season when he got dropped. Season previous he was outstanding with about 8 different players coming in to play the other CB role. Held us together at the back.

Last season he had a mare against Rangers, and struggled a bit after whenever he came back in and Trusty won his place. Whenever he came back in he struggled a bit, but had limited games to change it as well.

In that time Trusty was having a * mare and got the chances to play through it before Scales eventually came back in, that annoyed me that, Scales got dropped soon as the level dropped, Trusty didn’t and that’s down to transfer fee. Everyone in the team should be treated equally regardless of fee or wages, but universally in football, its not the case. Not specifically they two that. Was similar Bernardo and Engels as well

Excellent again tonight, was pretty surreal seeing him and Trusty having almost identical games....winning headers and a couple of great tackles. Think they can be a great partnership.

There’s one positive that sometimes appears through harsh, and definitely unfair to my eyes treatment our fans can dish out. When a player thrives under they conditions the mentality of they guys is something special. McGregor, Forrest and Ralston have that as well. Scott Brown had that before them. I don’t like it but it can result in a mental toughness rarely seen elsewhere

Another who had an excellent game. That last ditch tackle was superb. Dribbling with the ball was good when he had to do that too.

The recovery tackle on Gassama was superb. Imperious in the air. Few slack passes but the defensive work he did was vital. I like the way he never hides and takes responsibility out there even if he knows it's not to his strengths.

He looks much more assured when he doesnt have to touch the ball 500 times in a game!

When it comes to just doing the basics of a centre half right he hasnt disappointed.

Like some others have said some of his passing has been questionable but apart from that he’s been solid.

He is a an absolute rock and been one of our best players for a while. Does have a slack pass in him most games but he is having to play it out so much so don’t think it’s a major worry.

Played well, that last ditch tackle was sheer Paul McGrath class. While most of his passing was good, he did have some shocking attempted passes and were simple pass too.

Along with Trusty he was outstanding.

The poor pass to Cal which had him having to take a booking was the only mistake he made all game.
