If the current management team keep progressing the teams performance then no reason not to keep them on until end of season. What a difference in tempo with Rodgers being NO longer there. Rodgers should have been sacked long ago

MON till the end of the season while changes are made in the boardroom isn’t looking like a terrible idea.

He's a cut above their entire institution. Perfect man manager and he just gets Celtic. Take nothing away from Maloney I can guarantee he's chipping in as well.

He was’t really living until he stepped back out there.

    Great showing!

    I’m absolutely delighted for him.

I was terrified that it would go wrong for him out of no fault of his own.

    What a man.

Can I just say, when half this forum insisted Lennon should walk if he was a Celtic man in October/November of the covid season, this is exactly why.

    This is what would’ve happened.

Incredible win and he's turned the team around.
The second half though showed why we can't get carried away and give him the job long term. We need someone with the energy for a rebuild job. Not sure Martin's got enough hair left to pull out for that

To be fair, he's still getting a feel for the team. He needs to see which players want to be here and which players don't.

Not a marquee performance from Maeda but I saw something different from him today and he put effort in. Hatate however was flaccid.

Not going to judge him too much on that second half, as hes still just in the door, but the improvements we seen against Falkirk and in the first half were monumental.

    * hero, the difference is staggering.

100% I like he's giving players who were out in the cold a chance. Including guys we've given up on, actually. Just y'know, not when we're drawing in a cup game against the huns. To be fair though, we got away with it and was pleased to see Osmand get a goal.

Serious question: is MON known to have any chronic illness which would prevent him from doing a full season or more? Heart, lung, liver etc. It's clear to me that his mental capacity is intact, and his mood is such that it rubs off on players.

I think that second half is a different story when he realises who needs to come on and who needs taking off.

Forrest was great off the bench for me. Balikwisha looked scared to take players on. Hatate lifeless and uninspired. Tierney has a knack on that left hand side of the box drilling it across and that played dividends but outside of that we probably wouldn't talk a lot him coming on as an improvement.

Worth mentioning this is a team effort and Maloney is doing the heavy lifting here.

I’m not saying I want Maloney but I’ve heard enough to be convinced he should be part of the backroom team.
