    Understandable frustration around him.

But evidence suggests hes never been the problem.

Hes been doing what hes been told to do.

Its no coincidence he had a good first window. Then Desmond brought back Lawwell. Nicholsens reputation was burgeoning. Now fans want his head.

It all ends with Desmond. It doesn't matter one iota if nicholsen leaves. The next man will do the same, exactly what he is told to do.

How can a man do his job if hes to get permission from some higher up figure if the bid goes above something daft like 800k.

Agree in principle ref Desmond (with Lawell as his administrator) being the main problems.
But if you are appointed as CEO and are not allowed to fulfill normal 'CEO duties' and then are too spineless to call it out or change it, then you also become the problem.

Rodgers called it out, we all saw how that ended for him
but it finally shone a much clearer light on just how the club was being run and now hopefully results in real and positive changes.

    Yep.

I was stone cold stunned they actually admitted to it.

Any negotiation in terms of a higher fee has to be signed off by board members... Aka * Desmond.

You mentioned 800k. How much more did McGinns club want?
And while Lawwell thought he was bullying Hibs with his take it or leave it *, the manager of Aston Villa was playing golf with the players father to scrape the paltry fee together.

Every bit of feedback from supporters who have attended a couple meetings with him now has proved that he is utterly incompetent in this current role.

He isn't a CEO in a million years.

Totally disagree,If the right person gets the CEO job.

I posted earlier in another thread, Susan Whelan, if rumours true, I believe will be her own boss, A proven strong leader and will not be easily swayed, this would bring the change we have been longing for.

Football has been her life for 15 years as CEO, her portfolio is what we have

The key for her or any other CEO at Celtic is the backing lf Desmond.

I do agree that a person of her standing could change things around for us but it's crucial for her to have the backing of Desmond and hence, the board.

I'm pretty sure McKay could have done a decent enough job if he had Desmonds backing. But Desmond there probably listened to backstabbing Lawwell who was more interested in badmouthing his successor than helping him out.

The danger for any new CEO is, that Desmond loses interest again and let's the other board member backstab her. That's why it's equally important for us and any future CEO that Lawwell and his clan is evicted from the club.

That is good to hear if Susan Whelan is to be CEO we need not just a new face we need someone who actually has ambition and some vision to take Celtic forward and improve us on and off the field and is not going to be Desmond's lapdog.
