Who cares about his personality so long as he's getting results on the pitch?

Do you want Kevin Bridges in charge of the team instead, someone that will be funny af all the time?

He's a manager of a football team, not halftime entertainment, btw, his "bye bye Sevco" line when waving at them leaving the stadium was class and funny af, that's personality right there

Hoopy would get Scotland wins over Spain and Croatia? Draws with England, Portugal and Holland? Finish 3rd with Kilmarnock in SPFL? Qualify Scotland for three major tournaments for the first time since 1998? Finish 8th in EPL with WBA?

Hate for Clarke is so forced and ridiculous

I’m hoping most of the names you’ve mentioned have just been drummed up by the Sun to get clicks.

He gets results in the qualifiers and then shites the bed when we’re on the big stage.

Remember him playing Scott Mctominay as a CB? Thats how clueless he is.

I don’t think you understand the difference between coaching Scotland and managing Celtic.

They are almost opposite ends of the spectrum.

Hard to say we've never seen Hoopy in the dugout so it would be unfair to write him off completely

You just want a rookie manager who hasn’t done anything of note?

Craig Bellamy, Wilfired Nancy. Quite unbelievable really.

Every manager was once a rookie.

You understand there’s more to a CV than trophies?

Bellamy might not even be an actual candidate. I actually highly doubt he is. Ex players in positions like his are going to be linked by the bookies.

But you threw McKenna in with them, which is ridiculous. You’re clearly just not clued up on them as managers, especially if you’re comparing them to Steven Pressley.

If Maloney and O’Neill destroy Sevco at the weekend, I’d happily keep both until the end of the season and get someone in early everything in place over the summer with some early quality signings in place ready ( that’s the dream)..

I used to speak to Lee Carsley on a daily basis when he was doing his coaching badges as I worked in a hotel he stayed at over a regular period. Always greeted me by name and would spend ages chatting to him about football. Along with Alan Stubbs, he was one of the most genuinely nice guys in football that I've had the pleasure of meeting. His CV certainly doesn't scream Celtic manager unfortunately but I've always wished to see him get a big job.

Absolutely no one knows knows anything, it's all clickbait so far.

If Nicholson is going, who is driving the process to identify candidates?
Presumably final stage is the usual 10 minute Desmond call?

Hope they get the old fax machine linked up soon.

Lee Carsley is an odd one because we have seen recent trends of the the under (insert age here) coach move through the international set up and do well for the international proper.

Could he perhaps be someone who could transition into a domestic role, perhaps even coming with a plethora of knowledge of young stars coming through the ranks who might not get chances at their parent clubs and sway them to come here.

Could he by dint of winning with the England set up, be someone who could really well with young talent?

Strangely I'm not against it as I think i perhaps should be.

Like, it's hardly a reason to go be getting a Celtic manager, but he seems more a practical option then the likes of McKenna.

Just leave it in the hands of MON and his team untill the right man becomes available. We got lucky with Ange and his style and knowledge of the Asian market. Problem I see is there's no high profile manager Irish enough for DD.
