Celtic park- is it time to increase capacity and refurb stadium.

The old lady needs some TLC for sure, surely investment in the stadium would reduce the tax bill, what the * are they doing with all the money?

 

We could spend 10m on each of those things and still have 50m left back. Spending money on Engels shouldnt get in the way of fixing a shabby stadium

Haha do you think Dermot Desmond had just woke up one morning and thought what is it they are all moaning about, then went and actually looked at the list on his visit this week and went Michael why have you not done half these things? No wonder those fans are moaning at us! Either that he had a Tam out of Still Game run in with a toaster and it’s totally flipped his character.

All be it there seems to have been a * of a number of the smaller demands addressed over the last week. Combined with bombing out Rodgers.

I don’t know how they can look at the stadium and think it doesn’t need a coat of paint.

A worry that if it's not coincidental, * is he doing? Only cracks skulls when a manager or the huns * him off? Get * involved, you tached *.

 

How much work is needed on the stadium, in terms of refurb, damage, problem etc? And if possible, specifics ir what is needed to be done etc.

Not so much concerned with the question of expansion, purely about what is needed on the stadium as it currently is.

 

Has all the steel support beams been painted black ?

 

IMHO the main stand needs to be completely redeveloped. Even if it means restrictions on attendance for a season we need to do the work. We can increase capacity, and I would even say given the pathetic nature of the corporate facilities they could even make a lot of the main stand redevelopment be focused on boxes and corporate facilities with a smaller capacity increase.

 

For me I find it hard to believe again the timing of this is a coincidence. It may be but I just have no trust or belief in the board and or Desmond anymore. Now I think the banners look great and the theme is great as well. But our stadium is antiquated for what we can and should be as a club and some great looking banners doesn't change that.

 

I understand the point of doing that sort of construction in order to redevelop the main stand, but that was not what I was enquiring about, rather the problems with damage, leaks, plumbing etc of the stadia as it currently is.

So for those that go regularly, what are the issues in the various areas that need to be fixed/replaced etc.

If thats the case any body have any opinions on Susan Whelan and whether she is a good fit or will just be another Desmond lapdog holding the club back.
